Sorry friends it has taken an unusual long time to give the update.
I tried to contact Shailawalas (26056252) many times but could not get any update as it seems that Shailawals are horrified by what has been meted out to them. The last faint voice I heard was “Please do not call us again. With great difficulty we have some peace (shantee) now.” When I went to Santacruz and personally met the neighboring Bohras they said that the Masjid Trust has learnt some lesson and right now there is a state of ceasefire from both sides. Sailawalas’ have withdrawn the case against Masjid Trust but their children are now going to other madressa and schools.
Mamnoons (24112434) said “we are not barred from offering namaz or attending community functions, but no one talks to us, not even our relatives. But we continue to defy whatever we find un-Islamic and they also do not force us. We are happy!”
Some 160 Bohras of Bhadrewadi have given in writing to Zehra Cyclwala that they were forced by the Amil Mustafa of Sami village to socially boycott her brother Tamin. Based on these letters and police report Zehra ben has filed a case against Amil and few Jamat members in Surat First Class Judicial Court and according to her, now Amil and those members are parading between Sami village and Surat. Meanwhile Tamim bhai and his wife have passed Ramazan peacefully.

Some persons are engaged who are going house to house and shop to shop and measuring actual area and ownership-authenticity. Some Muslims who refused them were given threat of underworld. For progress on the project no one is ready to talk in Burhani Redevelopment Trust. Nine Bohra families have already sold off their flats in Mohalla and they are now living in Kausa and Jogeshwari.
Officers in Bombay Municipal Corporation are tight lipped on the subject.
