do you think that the raudat tahera should be demolished

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Bro. MF,

you are mistaken, syedna is collecting based on the direct communications he receives from the panjatan, who advise him that they need gold and diamond encrusted curtains around their graves. they are tired of all the austerity and simplicity they adhered to all their lives and now are demanding the luxuries promised to them after their shahadats.

since you are not privy to these secret conversations, you cannot comment. you have no idea that the panjatan have drastically changed their thinking and attitudes as the times have evolved. as the dai has changed all the rules, regulations and practice of islam and our deen, why cannot the panjatan??

the raudat tahera was built on the orders of the imamuzzaman who had already instructed syedna taher saifuddin that before he dies, he must instruct his son burhanuddin to construct said mausoleum.

and of course, the hidden imam being the notary for the panjatan and their fountain head, the prophet of islam, instructions had to be followed.

so all the doubting thomases please note. it is the prophet mohd, it is ali and his wife fatema and their sons hussain and hassan who wanted that a fitting tribute replete with gold encrusted verses, precious stones, marble etc be used to adorn the grave of this dai. so what if he stole moneys and lied about in court, so what if he was held in contempt, so what if he unleashed terror upon his wife, his father-in-law, or his relatives and followers, what if he had sought worldly titles, shaan o shaukat and ayyashi, if the panjatan rule that a massive tomb be built, so be it.

that is why the panjatan saved and scrounged all their lives, they avoided any extravagance and lived simply and austerely, so that all their savings could be used 1400+ years later for the dai lutlaq and his grave be surrounded and decorated with gold and diamonds and finest marble.
