Right now SKQ is running something like Mom & Pop store, wait till it becomes a corporation, then he will revert to his teachings from STS and SMB.

My friend Kaka Akela, I don't wish to prolong this discussion with you, but it is not clear to me that the teachings of STS (RA) and SMB (RA) are responsible for the mess we are in today. It is clear from his personal example, that STS was a great scholar, perhaps even a genius, reviving the tradition of Fatimid learning. He wrote numerous books and thousands of verses of poetry, and hundreds of du'as. This is not a trivial feat. He may have been a control freak, but I don't think that one can blame him for what is happening today. In a similar way, SMB was a very mild mannered and loving person. Not once I have heard him yell or scream at anyone, in contrast to DMMS (LA). Of course, SMB is not blameless, as he let the cancer of his children and his brothers spread unchecked, and probably did nothing to help the common bohras caught in the menace of the Kothar. However, again, he was very different than DMMS.
If anything, I think SKQ is more like STS (RA), with the difference that is is very mild mannered and retiring. His method, even when he was a mazoon, was to be calm and accepting of differences. Unlike the laeen Mr. Yusuf Najmuddin (LA), he did not want to push bohras into fanaticism. This may have been a leading cause of the initial split between the brothers. From his own example, and that of his children, SKQ has shown he values education, treats women on an equal footing as men, and is open to modern media and open dissemination of knowledge.
Of course, again, I may be wrong about his long term outlook, but for now I remain cautiously optimistic.

The biggest problem is with the abdes themselves. I heard Nauman Ali Khan say that people should not shower their scholars with so much praise that it goes into their heads and they start considering themselves invincible or in case of bohra Dais "masoom". They started out as scholars but all the back bendings and hand kissings, and sujuds went to their heads and now they are what they are.

It says the auction was in Mumbai so it must be a UK person who won the bid at 530 pounds. May be it was Gulam Noon fellow who won the bid. He can sell it as a package with his curry dishes. Looks like they want foreign currency and not local rupees.
