Atlanta Jamaat has organized a sumptuous send-off for their Amil on the day of Milad of Mawla Ali. The Amil is transferring to Indore. His replacement is from Karachi. The speculation is that he could be the same Pakistani person who was previously the Amil in Atlanta before the current Amil.

this guy is a new face for atlanta, coming from karachi. his name is taizoon haideri. he was a professor in a karachi university. he is in his 40's.

Are you saying we have bohora surgeons in our hospitals? This is good.

Or are you saying we have Ismailis who are Abdes. What are you trying to say. As far as I know Ismailis do not refer themselves as Abdes. Abdes means ghulams and we are not ghulams.

Ismailis are spiritual children of Imam and not Abdes of Imam. Imam would be very unhappy if we refer ourselves as his slaves. You know our Imam. He always refers to us as his beloved spiritual children. So you have totally confused me.

Well .. so is the case with Bohra DAIs .. they in their flattering bayaans say “ mara pyara farzando” on the face. it is the followers and systematic kothar propaganda they have popularized abdes into their signatories. And amusingly, now abde has become a category to recognize Dhaadi-Topi , Feet Kissing, back bending, belly crawling followers of the DAI and anyone who walks around with whitish fanfare.

We do not have flattering bayans and other feet kissing, etc. rasams. Beloved spiritual children is the norm. He will and has addressed us as such since he became Imam and we always look at him as our spiritual father. That is why I was surprised when Salim used the term Abde.
