Asked on a religious website if it was permissible for fathers to build snowmen for their children after a snowstorm in the country's north,
I am wondering who was the idiot who asked the question in the first place. You know, if you ask a question whether it is permissible or not, the answer would be either a yes or a no. If the cleric had said yes it is allowed to make a snowman, then the next question would've been why then are we not allowed to build an idol of clay. The prophet (saw) has said not to ask too many questions lest you make things difficult for yourselves.

A friend of mine went to an Alim in Chicago asking about whether it was haram or halal to consume this or the other kind of food. The Alim told him that if he asks too many questions, everything will become haraam for him. So stop asking stupid questions.

The whole Fatwa thing is laughable. Fatwa is only mandatory on the person who issues the fatwa. So do not give too much credence to any kind of fatwas. Use your own God given intellect.
Asking question is good. Read the story Prophet Ibrahim about how he came to believe in God. Without questions you cannot improve yourself or learn anything.

according to zakir naik the answer is not always yes or no.
he would have said i presume if u build for fun so long it is ok, but be careful do not start worshipping it. or if u feel it will lead to idol worship, dont build it.
he has said this explicityly on one question a same like minded fool has asked that is it permissible to hang or see the picture of amitabh bachhan or sachin tendulkar in his room as he was living in a hostel and other batchmates were hanging that picture and he was also a great fan of him.
they are so weaklings in their faith, they themselves are not steadfast in their faith. they themselves doubt their faith so much that they are so afraid anything will lead to shirk and idol worshipping.

Actually, this is the opposite of weakness. Being always afraid of committing shirk is the best way to avoid it. You people should learn something from them.

Maybe it is other way around: These men do not trust themselves :-) It is so pathetic they treat women as property and treat them worse than goats and cattle. Those animals have more freedom.
