I was thinking the same stuff. You just said a little while back that we want weddings ONLY in the community halls so that rich and poor celebrate similarly for weddings, so that class differences don't show up.

So you want weddings to be celebrated simply. Fair enough in the sense that Maulana Ali (AS) and Rasulallah (SAW) lived in a simple way. It is incumbent upon every Mumin to strive towards khair khwayi (betterment), hidayat (guidance) and najaat (salvation) of his fellow brethren. Taking a big cover from a poor family and giving it to a multi millionaire for a step-in step-out is not khidmat, it is daylight robbery! RashidaL is right to go to Syedna Fakhruddin.
