Before i start the topic, i would prefer to take you back to the ancient history. And my topic would cover the regions of the world, where either we live or we belong to, that is Indo arab and the surrounding regions of Europe and China.
And i will touch upon the neutral part of history and not the religious history at least for time being. Inshallah if i have time i will go onto that also.
Society was believed to require four basic nessecities such as food, water, clothes and shelter. And these were at very early stage of our history. When population grew, the pressure grew to own more resources in a given area. and hence grew the chaos and anarchy. Now one more necessity came into existence and that was to provide law and order. Those societies who provided now five necessities were called civilised ones. India, China, Mesopotamia(Iraq) and Egypt were those ones.
Central Asia, of that we all belonged to, was dwelt by peoples who after having had a civilised life always felt insecured of natural vagaries. They could not understand the phenomena of rain, floods, rising sun, moon's appearance and disappearance, wind. And hence began to believe that some supernatural being must be there controlling them all and was worthy of worship. They started praying rising sun, Indra for rain and its control, Earth for sustaining them and so on. This is how from central asia to east of india it still exists.
But in southern part of central asia that is Mesopotamia and the other parts of arab world including Canan(Palestine and Israel), they believed in partly in worshipping idols like how in our region we believed, and partly in believing in prophets as they were the once sent by God to guide us properly and live life accordingly to escape from the wrath of the Almighty. Thus prophets begin to multiply in this part of the world.

proffessor saheb, that is just how civilizations have exploited humans.but does it mean devolopemnt of civilizations was spontaneus and not from any influence whether earthly or extra terestrial instigating that process.

That's why i wrote, if you read carefully, that this is a viewpoint of neutral history and not religious history. And not my own point of view.

well proffesorsaheb you are an expert in this field, but as i view this is like this:-

all the religions which evolved in the region of arabia are allowed to have a diet which is omniverous, but those religion which evolved in asia and africa are allowed to have only vegetable diets.i see this as ALLAH'S way to have a balance.the regions of arabia are mainly deserts and so to disallow omniverous diet would lead to starvation since vegetation is scarce in this region.while in those continents where vegetation is abundant they are disallowed omniverous diet.this way a balance of animal population is maintained.the emegence of religion is than linked to the way of life since source of food was linked to religion.harvest seasons and related incidences have been coupled to religious belief since having a good harvest solely depeded on nature providing rain and sun at the right time.may be later on worshiping of dieties was highlighted which would have been due to improved performance of nature propogated by somebodys involvement.the region of arabia witnessed a series of people who established rules and laws fitting to the cultural aspirations of the people of this region.mostly this area was basically a lawless land and the powerful just freely exploited the weak.prophets emerged who actually liberated the people from their oppressions.if you study MUSSA NABI emergence as the prophet you will understand what i am saying.the pharoes of egypt had armies of slaves which were utilized to build the mighty pyramids which actually were just tombs.but why did pharoes insist on having these huge monumental tombs.i think the reason behind that was that they wanted to leave mark of their personality even after they died.and they had deep beliefs that there was life on this earth even after death.
