Ubadah bin Samit reported:
The Prophet SAW said while there were a host of compainions around him, "give an oath of allegiance to me that you will not worship anything except Allah, nor will you steal, nor will you fornicate, nor will you kill your children, nor will you commit slender, and that you will not neglect viruous acts." So we gave allegiance upon that.
Related by al-Bukhar and Muslim
(From A Treasury of Ahadith By Dr. Mazhar U. Kazi-Abul-Hashim Publishing House-Jeddah)
Page 24
Typing errors are mine

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam
AS
I found above text of Mithak or Bayat in Book of Hadith.
It appears to be simple pledge in front of Prophet SAW, not to worship other then Allah, nor steal, not to fornicate, not to kill ones children and not to neglet Virtuous acts.
As I understand that Islam was a complete religion before our Prophet passed away. That means all the rituals of Islam were all set. Any changes in rituals or any additional rituals are considered Bida (Inovation).
My question is this.
If I stood in front of a religious leader (Imaam) or Muslim leader and read above pledge and acted on it . Would I be Mumin?
Wasalaam

Islam was NOT declared complete until the event at Ghadeer Khum where the Prophet revealed the Imamat/Walyat of Imam Ali.
It was after revealing the Imamat when the Prophet received the revelation that officially perfected Islam.

It is wrong to use Mithaq "or" Bayah. Mithaq and Bayah are not same.
As for you question
If I stood in front of a religious leader (Imaam) or Muslim leader and read above pledge and acted on it . Would I be Mumin?
You wont be a Muslim neither would you be a mumin. You are just wasting your time.
Sister Jinx
AS
If I gave Oath of allegiance to Allah to worship only him, If I sincerely told him that I will not steal, nor fornicate and promise him that I will not kill my children nor commit slender and promise him that I will not neglect virtous act (like Zakat,Charity etc, etc,). Now I take oath of allegiance in front of community elders and religious leaders as witness, then
I faithfully act on it.
How would I be wasting my time?
Wasalaam

Br Muslim
Talk is cheap, it is the action that counts -that classify one a mumin or Muslim.
You can talk anything to Allah swt but why confuse it with Mithaq or Bayat?
