A Public Apology

Given modern distractions, the need to understand Islam better has never been more urgent. Through this forum we can share ideas and hopefully promote the true spirit of Islam which calls for peace, justice, tolerance, inclusiveness and diversity.

Dear All,<p>Last night in a fit of anger I insulted Porus in a totally undignified manner. I apologise unreservedly for this and to his parents if they are alive.<p>Everyone is entitled to his/her views; let us not cross the bounds of human decency and common courtesy.<p>And no Porus, I am not masqerading as anyone. My name is Gursevak. I admit to having an admiration for the Nizaris and their Imam but that does not prevent me from criticising them if criticism is in order. I do not agree with attacks on religious leaders be they the Aga Khan, the Syedna, Sai baba or whoever, simply because they do not echo our views. Criticise them only if they are at fault; not because their followers give you a rough ride.<p>Once again I apologise for my outburat last night
