Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
At the root of buthery in Gujarat are teachings of intolerant religions. All religions are intolerant. Their adherents are brainwashed into believing that salvation lies in the shedding of the blood of infidels. Of course, we know what apologists will say. "Our religion is the very model of tolerance. It is the "people" who do not follow its true teachings"
Really? All great religions glorify wars. They are glorified in their scriptures and they are almost always fought to destroy other people's religions. Pagan pre-Islamic Arabs were religious too. Relate a historical victory of a person's relgious forbears over "infidels" and see his face light up! That is the true teaching of religion. "Be proud of your religion." Disgustingly senseless.
Only way out of this is the true enlightenment of the masses. Free them from their brainwashing into thinking that their religion is a great teaching and guide to life. Reform should be concened with weaning people away from religion.
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
Wars are necessary at times. Maybe you would okay in your fantasy world to sit silently when you have your home taken or your family murdered, but the reality is people have to struggle to defend themselves - this applies to everyone whether you have a religion or not. The only nonsense is yours and your illusions by trying to blame everything on religion.
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
I would dearly like to get a Hindu girl and Muslim boy together and induce in them an amnesia about their religious affiliation. I would then make them stare in each others eyes for 15 minutes. They will fall in love.
Religion would not come between them. What is stopping them from getting together? Their religions, divisive and useless creeds, root of all evil in the present world.
And religion is an artificial creation of the brainwashing they received when they were little and destroyed their innocence. What a pity!
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
See how quickly you change the topic? And how pathetic you have to generalise every problem that exists with words like 'religion is the root of all evil' - words which you know you can never justify. Ironically good, evil and their consequences are the main concerns for those who HAVE religion. Religion is the scapegoat for all problems for people who are can't come up with solutions for what are really complicated and varied issues. What is surprising is that you feel the need to join and discuss with us 'evil' people who have been 'brainwashed'. What you fail to realise is that religion is a conscious choice for millions of people just as it is a choice for you not to have one. So maybe its you who is brainwashed!
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
Religion is the UNCONCIOUS choice of millions of people. Not to have one is a concious choice.
Why do you think reformists exist unless it is to persuade "religious" people that they are being led up the garden path? Unwittingly, reform is about destruction of brainwashing.
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
Hindus don't care whether you are a Sunni, a Shia or a Bohra. It is all the same for them.
Speaking about Brainwashing,
I do believe anyone can be BRAINWASHED, people who do have religion and those who don't.
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
I agree with porus in principle. Perhaps "brainwashing" is too strong a term. Nobody willingly gets brainwashed. We all tend to internalise the dominant vlaues of our institutions and come to believe them as true. The point is to resist the influence of dominant thinking . The oneupmanship between religions - mine is better that yours - is one of the most tragic attitude people have and are willing to die and kill for.
In truth, no religion, no divine truth, no doctrine is worth a single human life. Least of all a masjid or a mandir.
The attack on the train in Godhara by the Muslim mob should rank as most unfortuante, stupid and savage act by muslims in recent history. I suspect they were inspired, encouraged by the 9/11 audacity. They foolishly thought they will teach Hindus a lesson. As with the consequences of 9/11, the poor will die and suffer and so would democracy and human rights. With this single act, the muslims have become aggressors from being passive victims - and the retaliation as is evident has been and will be massive and merciless. The Ghodra attackers have handed to the BJP, VHP and its goons a big stick to beat Muslims into further suppression and humiliation. I shudder at the thought of all this.
It is always humbling to know that religion was made for man, not man for religion.
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
One must not pass judgement before facts are out. Here is what I heard.
Kar Seveks were returning from Ayodhaya. They were in boisterous mood. They purhased goods from Muslim vendor at Ghodhra and refused to pay. On the top of that they started making fun of them and other Muslims. Vendors called their people on cell Phone. A mob gethered and trouble started. Yes they were stupid to do what they did. How many times and how long Muslims will take shit from these people. Should they have gone to their (Ker Sevak's) leader and said thank you for robbing them and given them Shawl as gift?
Appeaseing Hitlers and Gunda's (Bal Thakere) of India will not solve problem.
Do you let them build their Temple? Do you know what they will demand next?
Solution could be in United Muslim Ummah. Lets pray that truth will come out and justice will be done.
Wasalaam

Unite and Fight
Times of India
[ SATURDAY, MARCH 02, 2002 12:22:22 AM ]

We unequivocally condemn the ghastly incident in Godhra, where 58 VHP kar sevaks were ruthlessly burnt alive. We condemn the harassment meted out to Muslim men and the molestation of Muslim women prior to this incident by those who appeared to be VHP kar sevaks heading for Ayodhya (as reported in Jan Morcha, Feb 24).
We also condemn the "revenge killings" in Gujarat which have led to the gruesome murder of 150 Muslims. Coming as these tragedies do, on the back of the communal tension created on account of the Ram Mandir issue, they pose a grave threat to our secular polity and undermine the rule of law in this country.
We hold that the threat to build the mandir in total disregard of the Supreme Court’s orders and the stoking of communal tensions belong to the realm of terrorism.
We call upon the NDA government’s numerous constituents to rein in their alliance partner, as it is holding the nation to ransom. They must move to prevent a December 6, 1992 like episode from repeating itself.
We call upon the opposition parties to unitedly fight communalism with greater resolve. Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
Well, I think if Muslims were to unite and let the VHP have the land for the Mandir, muslims will be able to live in peace. Remember, during the year of the elephant when the kaaba was to be attaked, the prophets grandfather made a statement to the attacker that it is God's house and he will protect it. And I don't think a piece of land is worth so many muslim lives.
Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
Isn't it arsenine and hypocritical that both the religion followers are fighting for the house of God - Masjid and Mandir; but when it comes to obeying the Almighty's commands, e.g., not to kill - respect life. to live in harmony, respect each other's beliefs etc., etc., etc., they are the first non-compliers of the edicts.
May Almighty Allah/Parmatma give these wayward people wisdom to see their foly and may sanity prevail during these trying times. Re: ...loadz of Bohri loss in bajrangi VHP/Modi riots
Truth about the Train Incident
Respected Sir/Madam,
The tragic incident of Sabarmati Express that occurred today at 7:30 am at about 1 km away from Godhra railway station has thrown a question mark to those people who claim to be secular or liberal. Many aspects & facts have been ignored & which I would like to bring to your notice

Compartment (Bogey) no S-6 & two other compartment of the Sabarmati Express was carrying the kar sevaks of the V.H.P (Vishwa Hindu Parishad). And it was due to these kar sevaks from bogey no S-6 that the incident occurred.

The actual story didn’t start from Godhra as being told everywhere but it started from a place from Daahod, a pace that comes 70-75 km before Godhra railway station. At about 5:30 –6:00 a.m. the train reached Daahod railway station. These kar sevaks, after having tea & snacks at the railway stall, broke down the stall after having some argument with the stall owner and they processed back to the departing train. The stall owner then field on N C against kar sevaks at the local police station about the above incident.

Then about 7.00- 7.15am the train reached Godhra railway station. All the kar sevaks came out from their reserved compartments and started to have tea and snacks, at the small tea stall on the platform, which was being run by an old bearded man from the minority community. There was a servant helping this old man in the stall.

The kar sevaks on purpose argued with this old man and then bate him up & pulled his beard. This was all planned to humiliate the old man since he was from the minority community. These kar sevaks kept repeating the slogan, “ Mandir Ka Nirmaann Karo, Babur Ki Aulad to Baahar Kar”. (Start building the Mandir and throw the sones of Babur i.e. the Muslims out of the country.)

Hearing the chaos, the daughter (16) of the old man who was also present at the station came forward & tried to saver her father from kar sevaks. She kept pleading & begging to them to stop beating her father and leave him alone. But instead of listening y to her woes, the kar sevaks lifted the young girl and took her inside their compartment (S-6) and closed the compartment door shut. Their intention behind this act is best known to them.

The train started to move out of the platform of Godhra railway station. The old man kept banging on the compartment doors and pleaded to leave his daughter. Just before the train could move out completely from the platform, two stall vendors jumped into the last bogey that comes after the guards cabin. And with the intention of saving the girl the pulled the chain and stopped the train. By the time the train halted completely, it was 1 km away from the railway station.

These two men then came to the bogey in which the girl was and started to band at the door and requested the kar sevaks to leave the girl alone. Hearing all these chaos, people vicinity near to the tracks started to gather towards the train. The boys and the mob (that also included women) that had now gathered near the compartment requested the kar sevaks to return the girl back. But instead of returning the girl, they started closing their windows. The infuriated the mob and they retaliated by pelting stones at the compartment.

The compartment-adjoining compartment S-6 on both sides contained kar sevaks of the V.H.P. These kar sevaks were carrying banners that had long bamboo stick attached to them. These kar sevaks got down and started attacking with bamboo sticks on the mob gathered to save the girl.

These was like adding insult to injury for the crowd gathered and their anger was now uncontrollable. The crowd started to bring diesel and petrol from trucks and rickshaws standing at the garages Signal Fadia (a place in Godhra) and burnt down the compartment. They didn’t bring the fuel from any petrol pump as being reported everywhere nor was this act of burning pre-planned as being mentioned by many people but it happened all of a sudden out of sheer frustration and anger.

After hearing about this incident, members of V.H. P (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) living in that area started burning down the garages in Signal Fadia, they also burnt down Baddshah Masjid, (Mosque), at Shehra Bhagaaad (small area in Godhra).

Reliable resources have reported all these information and facts to their information and me cannot be doubted. I would also mention my sources namely Mr. Anil Soni and Neelam Soni (reporter of Gujarat Samachar, also members of P.T.I & A.N. I.) have worked hard to dig the true facts and they duly deserve words of appraisal for their hard work. Mr. Soni’s mobile number: 0-9825038152. Resident number 02672 (code) 43153, office number: 43152, fax number: 45999.

Due to no proper substantial and circumstantial evidence and the late arrival of the Police at the scene of crime frustrated the Police. Which resulted in harassment and arrests in innocent local people living in Godhra. Furthermore the police started blaming the Mayor of Godhra, Mr. Ahmed Hussain Kalota for incident. Mr. Kalota who is the member of the Indian National Congress is also a lawyer. This blaming on Congressmen was also done to humiliate, defame and demoralize the Congress.

The V.H.P’s plan is to weaken the country by planning internal conflicts between communities and bring a backwardness of 100 years in the country. Sorry to say but they are carrying out their plans successfully without the tear of being stopped by anyone. No one but only the innocents will have to bear the consequences of their plans.

It is our humble request and prayers to all the members of Parliament along wit the Prime Minister, and the entire media circle to try and stop the sparks of a fire to gulp down the whole county in flames to take some auction against the kar sevaks of the V.H. P (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) before they get out of hand and stop harassing the innocents and catch the real miscreants and culprits/

We lay our request in front of you with folded hands and hearts filled with theirs for the death of innocents and anger for the wrongdoers. We hope our request and efforts will not deaf-eared or blind-eyed

There are no tall men around: Fernandes

GEORGE FERNANDES
[ SUNDAY, MARCH 03, 2002 1:19:14 AM ]

AHMEDABAD: As I arrived in Ahmedabad this time, my mind went back to 1969. Then too there had been a major conflagration. I remember I had walked down to the Circuit House where the then chief minister, Hitendra Desai, was huddled with his cabinet.
I told them that I would walk the streets of the affected areas; then I went to the governor and told him the same thing. Next morning, the CM and his colleagues accompanied me. The walk had a salutory effect.
This time as I went around (my motorcade was also stoned), I realised that our political parties do nothing beyond struggling for power. There is no civic leadership. There are no tall men around.
In the last two days I have been to Godhra, Vadodara and Rajkot besides Ahmedabad. Without a doubt, the Godhra incident was pre-meditated and planned. It did not happen on the spur of the moment. The perpetrators had precise information.
But what concerns me are the events that took place after it. There seems to be a total breakdown of relationships between people. In Rajkot, everybody told me that the city had no history of communal trouble. Then why now? My real concern is that in the course of these years there has been a divide that is not fully understood.
In Vadodara, I saw an entire row of shops which had been gutted in Raopura. A man called Purshottam Khatri came forward, his voice choking. He was speaking in good English. He said his entire business had gone up in flames, and he did not know what to do. But there are also so many instances of one community helping the other. My friend Bandukwala was attacked in Vadodara. His Hindu neighbours saved him.
I am trying to help in whatever way I can. Just now I was talking to the railway minister to fix a train for taking the army to Rajkot. The situation seems to be in control in Ahmedabad and will certainly be so in the next few days in other places.
We received a fax from the state government at 6 pm on the 28th making a formal request for the Army. I arrived at midnight, the army officials came at 1 am and at 2.30 am, the first batch of troops had come in. If there was a motivated, better equipped and trained force, the situation would have been under control earlier.
(As told to Kingshuk Nag)
-----------
GEORGE FERNANDES is Defense Minister of India.

He should do it now. If not, the Centre must dismiss him. For lesser reasons, state governments have been asked to quit. Why not the Modi government? The Centre, blatantly partial, is ruled by the NDA, a coalition of 24 parties, not by the BJP alone. Where is Chandrababu Naidu, of secular credentials fame? He is conspicuous by his silence.
No proof yet on ISI link with Sabarmati attack: Officials

SIDDHARTH SRIVASTAVA
TIMES NEWS NETWORK [ TUESDAY, MARCH 05, 2002 4:42:39 PM ]

NEW DELHI: There is no evidence yet of the ISI's involvement in the attack on Sabarmati Express in Gujarat, say intelligence officials.
Defence Minister George Fernandes on Tuesday blamed "outside forces, including the ISI" for engendering the attack on the train. Home Minister L K Advani, Minister of State for Home I D Swamy, BJP President Jana Krishnamurthy and the spokesperson of the Ministry of Extenal Affairs have in various forums talked of the role of the ISI and the underworld in the riots in Gujarat as well as the attack on the Sabarmati Express.
However, unlike the December attack on Parliament or the attack on the American Center in Kolkata where the involvement of international terrorist organisations was proved beyond doubt, there is no concrete evidence yet to link the Gujarat violence to outside forces, say intelligence officials.
Minister of State Omar Abdullah quickly withdrew his statement that the riots were due to "local factors" and later issued a clarification that his utterances were in a personal and not official capacity. There were reports from Kolkata that some terrorists linked to the Gujarat carnage had been arrested, but the reports were denied by the government.
Coincidentally, underworld don Aftab Ansari who was deported from the UAE recently is currently held by the Gujarat police, and according to sources, did not know about the attack.
Intelligence sources here say that while there are several indications that the attack on the Sabarmati Express was pre-medidated, they have nothing to link it to the ISI and the underworld.
Indeed, some officials privately admit that the government trying to play the "foreign hand" may be an attempt to shield itself.
Further, say sources, the ISI itself is not the force it used to be, given the recent purge in the agency carried out by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. The ISI is also reportedly starved for funds, with most underworld dons who financed its activities now shying away from the organistion. The Pakistan government too has reportedly cut financial support, given the huge expenditure being incurred for the deployment of forces along the Indian border.
-----------------------------
My comment: IT WILL TAKE LITTLE TIME TO MANUFACTURE EVIDENCE OF ISI LINK.
