Next week the Dora Award-winning performance of Ashwatthama JD in “Ek Qatra Khoon—A Drop of Blood” is coming to Factory Theatre! Discover why Gandhi said, “May every community be blessed with an Imam Hussein” through this soul-stirring account of the Battle of Karbala. Enriched with the poetry of the Punjabi poet Pash and the marsyia of Mir Anees, “A Drop of Blood” exhorts us to drop our complacency and strive for the basic rights of human existence. Translated and adapted into English by Rasik Arts’ Artistic Director Sally Jones and Ashwatthama JD, the play runs for two weeks only, from November 23 to December 3 at Factory Theatre, corner of Bathurst St. and Adelaide. Tickets are available through the Factory Theatre box office 416-504-9971 or at www.factorytheatre.ca.
