This is Husein a new member just join today, in fact I am with you since more then 30 years, My wedding was the result of this Dawoodi Bohara Jamaat, and I have completed 25 years and having two son. thanks

Salaam to all,
My ancestors belonged to Bohri community but after my parents moved out of India they lost much of their touch with the community. Recently my family has come to India in search for our roots. it included visiting some of the remaining relatives who are all Bohris.
I am very happy to meet them but dont know why every one was so eager to put us in some kind of religious box where we are suppose to act like them or how they want. we were even taken to head aamil, i didnt understand what was he talking about but i am liking all the attention i am getting.
Hope to learn more about Bohri community.

I think, its genetic that bohras like to control others.. it's our inheritance hehe.. You should open/start a new thread about your experience with your relatives and the amil which could be interesting to read
