Memoirs Of An Average Bohra.

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Many bohras from both sides of the divide want reforms in the conduct of the dawat administration as the same is being delibarately ignored by kothar as there is no initiative even from the dai himself for reasons best known to all and sundry. Bohras visiting this site want to relate themselves as well as their problems with others who have faced similar humiliation and/or atrocities in the name of religion. Many are hard pressed to find solutions which is a major problem and which could be addressed in its own small way by members of this forum if they reproduce their own experiences and the reasons for their rebellion which are sometimes open and at times discreet. It would be a good beginning if every member posts a write up which would encourage others in dealing with similar types of situations.

There are very few bohras like Mr.Engineer, Mr.Insaf and Zehra Cyclewala who could narrate their harrowing experiences as they had access to media, a privilage which many dont have. Many average bohras have faced situations which are quite different from these people hence this thread could turn out to be quite interesting and an eye opener. Needless to say that members should pen down their experiences in a very true and honest manner.

I would also be contributing by relating my own personal experiences in due course of time.
