O'h Canada! - Ottawa ladies nearly come to blows during
We understand from our Canadian contacts that:
After the following described hangama in Toronto mosque during Moharrum 1428, it was now the turn of Ottawa Bohri ladies at their former Bank (Tunkshal -Mint) Marqaz this Ramzan 1428.
Last week, two prominent "ladies" of the Jamaat (Ben Mehrun and Ben Fatema) came to near blows trying to muster and claim their respective rights to the prayer Masallah sites (the similar problems at Udaipur and other Bohri mosques have led to the same fights). Ben Fatema, we understand, was the former head of the Toronto Bunaiyyah ladies organization and Ben Mehrun is a retired senior person.
This fight happened during the Holy Month of Ramzan and the watch of their new Aamil, Sheikh Moofi Kader- and despite claiming himself to be a "nice guy" and a consensus builder etc. The local Jamaat has even bought him a house in the City despite there having a smal "flat" at the Marqaz. The wajebaats have gone up two folds as well to maintain him and his Begum. Sheikh Moofi has been thrown around by the Kothar like a yoyo or a hot potato from Toronto, Calgary, Boston and now at Ottawa Bohri jamaat. One wonders why?
Hasn't some wise person asked:
"What's the gain, if you win the whole world, but lose your soul??" - especially during the Holy Month.

There was a police incident during this Moharram 1428 at the Toronto, Ontario, Canada Marqaz. Some Bohris ladies had a fist fight at or near the mosque and the local police had to be called to resolve the shameful issue.
What's the use of vaez (even transmitted from Colombo) "pur josh matam", wailing for Imam Husein and the Ashabs and then fight, quarrel and beat each other up. Where is the Ziqr, Shuqar and Sabar taught by Bibi Zainab?

Re: O'h Canada! - Ottawa ladies nearly come to blows during
so what if they fight they are also human and can make mistakes, what is important is what happens afterwards i hope they made up and forgave each other. but from this small incident you progs want to make hay are you so desperate this days that you have nothing else
Re: O'h Canada! - Ottawa ladies nearly come to blows during
as for quoting bibi zainabs sabr are you not the same progs who complain about matam and buka of imam hussein but use him when it suits you
Re: O'h Canada! - Ottawa ladies nearly come to blows during

by "small incident" do you mean the jamaati ladies beating the "sh.t" out of each other, shouting and screaming in the House of God" and the police being called to quell the hangama brought about by the money-hungry Kothari rules to charge for masalla seat at the mosques etc.?
The reformist do not have any objections or complain about the matam and buqa for the Shohadas of Kerbala. But there is a time and place for the mourning - during Moharrum only which used to be the norm before the present Dai got some "vahye"in the recent past. Not at the drop of every "pagri" - during the weddings, during all majlises - whether saligrahs or auruses, after each and every faraz namaz, and the list goes on....?

What's this sinful "rip-off" by the Kothar to sell masalla spaces in their mosques and marqazs?
One also regularly sees the Mullas, Sheikhs, Bhaisahebs, Shehzadaas being given the front rows/safs to pray during imamat farazs - as if Allah would only notice their supplications.
Didn't the Prophet (PBUH) under instructions from Allah instituted the concept of equality in Islam and hence also applied to the beautiful concept of SAF during the prayers?
Poet Qalama Iqbal or was it Mirza Ghalib who put the above equality concept appropriately as follows:
"ek hii saf meN khaRe ho gaye Mahmood-o-Ayaaz/ na koii bandaa rahaa, na koii bandaa nawaaz"
Rough translation in English: (please correct me if I am grossly mistaken)
On one prayer row stand Allah's worshippers, regardless of whether he is a slave or a king"

From Shikwa, a poem by Allama Iqbal:
aa gaya ain ladai me.n agar waqt-e-namaaz
qibla-ru hoke zamee.n-bos hui qaum-e-hijaz
ek hi saf me.n khade ho gaye mehmud-o-ayaz
na koi banda raha aur na koi bandanawaz
banda-o-sahib-o-mohtaj-o-ghani ek hue
teri sarkar me.n pahonche to sabhi ek hue
Translation:
When, in the midst of battle, it was time for namaaz
People of Hijaz fell into sujood facing the qibla (Lit. kissed the earth in direction of Qibla)
Mehmud, (the King) and Ayaz (his slave) stood in the same rank (saf)
All distinction between the slave and the slave owner vanished
Slave, Master, the Needy and the rich became one
When in your presence (O Allah), all became one
aa gaya ain ladai me.n agar waqt-e-namaaz
qibla-ru hoke zamee.n-bos hui qaum-e-hijaz
ek hi saf me.n khade ho gaye mehmud-o-ayaz

In the Bohra community, there is caste system., ie, Kothar (Brahmins) followers (harijans)
The followers (harijans) again divided., shaikhs, mullahs etc etc., Where is oneness, God alone knows.
Re: O'h Canada! - Ottawa ladies nearly come to blows during
don't you have mullahs and sheikhs in saudia
Re: O'h Canada! - Ottawa ladies nearly come to blows during

Saudis probably have. However, they are NOT patronage appointments - being appointed by paying big fat fees/bribes to the Kothar when they even don't have any knowledge of the religious concepts or principles; some Bohri Mullas and Sheikhs even don't know how to recite "istinja" properly!
The Saudis Mullas and Sheikhs do not insist on occupying the first rows/safs whilst praying and take it as a devine right like the Bohris do.
