Why doesnt the dai or zaadas do matam?

I have always wondered why the dai or the zaadas never do matam 
and even if they do they do it very lightly and just to show people. Now my view on this is that the dai thinks he is a King, and zaadas as royal family so they are not required to do anything. And only make their slaves do everything like breast beating but they will never harm themselves.
