Only the rich get priority in our community. Money can buy you anything, the statement is particularly true in our community. They can just about get away with anything as long as they keep filling up the Amil's pockets.
For example, during a recent wedding, the bride was out days before the wedding brandishing a very short mini skirt, obviously because of the rich family they didn't even get a slap on the wrist. Whereas if the same had happened to someone who didn't have a lot of money, they would have been publicly embarrassed by the Amil, most likely threatened that the nikah will not be performed unless the family asks for 'maafi'.
The wedding was done on a very large scale, with lavish functions, music and dancing (i thought we weren't allowed music and dancing, oops forgot, they had money). I wanted to have music at my wedding reception but was told 'manai che', why? because I didn't have the money to fill the Amil's pockets.

Why are the rules not the same for the rich? In my opinion the Amil's around the world are thieves, only out to fill their pockets, they don't care about the community and are a disgrace.

Where does all the money we pay the jamaat go? It definitely doesn't go toward helping the community. Shouldn't the money be put towards improving the medical facilities, schools, helping the less fortunate, surely these are more important.
