Hashim e Mudabbir

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

In many of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin's Wa'az i have heard this name " Hashim E Mudabbir". Infact I have even heard that Hashim E Mudabbir created this world by the order of Allah (SWT) and was the leader of 10 highest angels. They dont discuss much about this name or this character. So I dont know much about it but just a name. I hope some one in this group could enlighten about it.

Jazakallah.

This is a good brief essay to explain the mystical beliefs. It explains that for a Thousand years our pioneers created a separate ideology for spiritual purpose. Whether it is fact , fiction is not the issue, but are the faithful convinced by the ideology , does it explain the open questions. Does it provide the logic where there was non, or missing or less plausible explanation. Which is what the fundamental attribute of faith...it satisfies the spiritual thirst at an individual level. Once it is a mass movement it becomes organised and then we call it religion.

I can now understand better why devoted abdes are happy to attend sabaqs and go into trance as the priest systematically releases the so called Tawil, it sounds like a spiritual treasure hunt, hypnotising , non referenceable in public knowledge domain. And the unconsciously drown in these ideology and feel comfortable , feeling special , unique, achievement, locked as a devotee or as they claim mumineen. Alternative is being denied access to these mysteries, feeling public, general, awaam, wo logho ! Fortunately majority of mankind are happy to feel public, simple , other things to occupy their thoughts on, eg materialism , social cohesion, politics, expansion ...hence why the larger religions have grown the faithful by the billions.

It also brings to the head that some of the current beliefs and resulting practises and rituals are so deviant to mainstream Islam that they are unreconcilable . In other words how can anyone hope to untangle these rituals and shake them off. As the commentators have stated these are beliefs , based on very light arguments, evidence, independent validation .

1. I know you do not understand the 'Aashir Mudabbir' and associated wisdom, neither you have done any in-depth research on the subject but because of your Ithna Asheri bug bite you are quick to jump to faulty, erroneous and foolish judgement.

2. "Kalam" and "Loh" are mentioned in the Quran. They are akin to 'Akl-a-awwal' and 'Akl-a-Sani'. Ithna Asheri keeps fast on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr is the proof that you are cursed by Allah and Ahle Bayt hence you and alike Ithna Asheri's are not blessed (not qualified) to understand these treasured Islamic concept which are bestowed and meant only for mumineen of Fatimi Dawat.

3. Ithna Asheri who promoted raping women under the guise of 'Mutah', they indeed does the shirk by making and worshipping idol of Imam Hussain (a.s.), steel panja, jhoola, alive horse pooja, etc.

I like the big and tall black Alum with a Mashkeza representing the shahadat of Abbas Alumdar. I usually touch it. Makes me feel brave like a soldier. There is a side of Mola Ali that you see in Hazrat Abbas that differs from Imam Hussain.
