NO FUNCTIONS ON SUNDAY

In Ahmedabad,the aamil has ordered not to host any function on Sunday will not give raza and other thing aamil can do all knows if we do this.it is confirm in Ahmedabad and I have heard same is the thing in surat Dahod and also at other place. I don't understand the exact reason behind it. Why not to do any function on Sunday when most people are free to attend without compromising any business or job or any other work.i have attend one marriage on friday afternoon after taking break from my work in which 25 % or more was absent and the persons who had came are also in mood of going out early to go on work like me. Everybody was interested in doing things fast and come out of it as early as possible. The event was spoiled and also food wastage was also so much because of absent people.

Why spoil the event of someone without any reason? Why not on Sunday?
