What is "true Islam"?

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

It is the one I practise.

Why would I want to practise it if it wasn't true?

You may not agree with mine, bit that is ok. Personally, I believe that your Islam is also the true Islam. Otherwise, why would you follow it?

Viv la difference!!

that is the problem with you folks.

I used to practice bohra, shia, sunni et all and I do not believe any one is complete. So no, I do not say that what I believe in is "true Islam" I have a lot of faults. If I had considered what I believed in some time ago to be true islam, I would've been kissing the syedna's car.

The only thing that we can do is pray that Allah forgives us in the hereafter for our mistakes. And instead of assuming that everyone is wrong, try assuming that everyone is right to a certain extent and try to get the best out of everyone.

Impressive and tolerant.....can you please refer us to 1 of your previous 1352 posts that would make that statement believable ? Otherwise, I would have to take credit for the new compassionate and tolerant, Anajmi. I sincerely hope it is the former and not the latter. I don't need the burden of converting people.

Welcome to common sense and understanding...

Say danish (made in lard)
Say brother (the pinhead typewriter)
Use both your eyes to see the diff., unless ofcourse if you are blind with one, which apparently seems to be your case.

Muddai,

Have you read all of my 1352 posts? If not, please stop making a fool of yourself. Being tolerant does not mean agreeing with what YOU have to say!

And I spoke about Sunni, Shia, Bohra and the others that follow Islam, do you belong to any?

Heavens....no ! That's why I needed your assistance in pointing me to 1 that might be consistent with tolerance.

Muddai,

Sorry about that, but not one of my 1352 posts will agree with you and your definition of tolerance.

yeah, but see it is my 1358th post and not one of my previous 1352 posts.

Also that post refers to those who believe, not to those who do not and you are one who does not.

Now if you want to insist that the post agrees with you, then be my guest.

well, actually it was my 1352nd post. I guess you are right.

I guess I was mistaken about how they calculate the number of posts on this board. But I am glad you agree with me.
