Fatimid Literature: By Dr. Abbas Hamdani

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

To Dr Hamdani:
Thank you for putting up this article on the web.
Fatimid Literature

It is always inspretional and enlighting to hear and read about Fatimid history.
It probably will be an eye opener for most of the patrons on this board too.

In regards to this Fatimid litrature, I also heard that Jammat in Udaipur also has collection on good amount of books on Fatimid histroy. I would like to know do we have access to these litratures.?

The article deals with concealment of most and revival of a few morsels of literature.

I look forward to the revelation of full contents of libraries that have been made accessible and information about how to access that content.

This is really a great article. Some quote from it

Many of the family libraries have been taken over by the last two dais by coercing the descendants of those scholars and threatening them with ex-communication. Thus the Kothar now possesses the largest collection, but is of no use to the world of scholarship for it has been removed from study. The purpose of this action is to make Tahir Saifuddin and his son Muhammad Burhanuddin the only points of reference for our culture, learning, literature and history. It is a process of throwing a curtain of ignorance over the community.

Fortunately the Hamdani family defied the Mullaji and made its collection of manuscripts available to both internal and foreign scholars thus opening up again and reviving the study of Fatimid literature and placing them at the disposal of modern research.

Interesting article. Two comments:
- I agree that we should stand up to teh tyranny and be a thorn in the butt then split and get our own Dai. This is our Dai. He is corrupt and we have every right to tell him so and account to his foloowers.
- was not the Zayd collection recently donated to the Institute of ISamili studies. Can someone confirm.

I agree wholeheartedly. Our corrupt Dai, his immediate atrocious family member and khotars should be skinned alive or at least we should chop their hands for thievery(which is the smallest of their crime). Sayedna Burhanuddin should retire from this post because of his obvious shortcoming, failure, weakness and his nepotism.

The next Dai should be voted from among the most qualified member of community with the highest degree of spirituality, piety and ilm(knowledge) with the best akhlak, character and leadership quality. The next Dai/or the leader should govern with the help of majlis e shura with advisors consist of no less than 25 people from each country where bohras reside.

No children of Sayedna or his uncles children should be allowed to touch community wealth. It should be handle by professional accounting and outside audit firm.

We only owe allegiance to the Dai who is a trustee and to none of his children, nephews, cousins etc. They should all get out and find a job.

See br Observer, what is the point of giving allegiance to a corrupt Dai who misappropriate community wealth and allow his children to treat community money as their own? Furthermore, Dai’s family and relative are very dangerous to our Bohra faith. These ppl invented anything to suit their evil agenda. They one who invented Zahir batin crap. But the most important point is:- who told Burhanuddin and his family that he and his family is Fit to be the representative of Imam Tayyeb?

Well you are absolutuely right! Jinx has the phenomenon of just barking!
I say let barking dogs bark! He is not worth of a human at all coz he does not have faith at all in wat he believes! His believes have gone astray so only God can help him! But god only helps those who help themselves, Jinx you still have time , repent and come back to the straight pathway!

Jinx, does your desire for a "fit representative of Imam Tayyeb" mean that you still acknowledge and believe in the Imam? Answer this question sincerely, and don't sidestep please.
