Asia Tsunami Disaster

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

What is one the richest community (the Bohra's) doing for the Tsunami hit victims???

Are we waiting for the "farman" of our Sayedna??

Is there a fund created or being created for these disaster struck people, or are we as usual going to turn a blind eye to yet another humnitarian issue??

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jan Englund. If it hadn't been for him, the aid to the victims wouldn't have kicked into the high gear that it has. Money stolen from Muslims is now been finally used to help Muslims and non-muslims alike.

Allah works in mysterious ways.

who knows? america must be asking arabs to contribute to them and get the credit.
america freezed billions of dollars of iranian money, libyan, iraqi and money belongs to various organization.

this $350 million is just a tip of the iceberg of america's stolen money.

i was reading all these special publicity is by media because many western tourist are victims.
other victims are just cheap. america killed more than 150,000 people in iraq in this war apart from millions killed during ecomic sanction.

can you remeber Marline Albright's (wicked witch)
comment on iraqi victims of 500,000. '' THE PRICE WORTH IT"

This is the west. we cant just take it is as what the media says. Nothing is straigh forward.

Br Sayed:
Whay is that I am not surprised by your typical muslim answer. If you think USA or any one of the western countries have an agenda than let me see you BOHRA's or you so called Sayeda or any other muslim nation have a hidden agenda of their own. Put your money where your mouth is or shut up!

It is the Shias that have had in every Idara fund rasing events Globally and on the web, show me one wahabi site or Bohra site that can claim this!
Pathetic that you can think like this. Lets see you open your wallet. Charity begins at home. After all they are Asians, just like you!!
What has the white person to do with supporting Asians? but they do.
get a life

Please stop blaming West and USA for every thing of yours. First look into your own deeds, if west and us are doing all these, coz they can do that. Why not muslim countries do that? they donot have guts, they are all SOLD - they donot have leaders and courage. So stop blaming them. If you have courage, stand up and do something. God has given everything to Muslims but we are sleeping.

And for bohras?? Why are they being termed as Muslim?? they are NOT. They are a Murda-Parast group of thugs and fools. They are in all types of Shirk and Bidat.

God's Lanat to Awal, Sanee and Salis and they are Awal = Dai, Sanee = Mazoon and Salis = Mukasir.

Dear Br Africawalla:

There are many Shia sites, here is one that I am member off and you can donate online. You maye have to register.
May Allah bless you.
Sorry I am travelling for next few weeks and I will respond on your other qustions in thet other chat room
Wasalaams
Please donate as best as you can. Money will reach to the right people. you can also donate thru this site all your yearly dues, khums, etc etc.
Also most Idaras in the North America and Europe are also collecting directly durinmg the respective fund rasing events.

http://www.world-federation.org/Secreta ... Appeal.htm

To my other brother who stated that Saudi raised $77M. That is public money not Govt. Also Compare that to a non muslim nation like Australia $850M.

There is a saying by Imam Aly that every breath ones takes he is closer to death, so I strongly believe, why should I invite death faster on talking about Muslims not giving when all of us know at the bottom of our hearts that Allah (SWT) is punishing us for what we are (Muslims). A bunch of a hyprocritical nation of people, who pray in the light and sin at night! Oh how true that is.
lets overcome that and we shall heal all.

How many Bohras and other Shias alike and so called muslims who pray and yet sit down at a bar for a drink or commit Zinna, how many do you know that are in the front lines of matam and read mursiyas on behlaf of the very Imam that fought for Islam and yet at night they reek in alcohol, how many muslms do you know that ask for feeding the poor or raise money for orphanage and they are broke yet they will have $100 dinners with their families and spend $50 in movies, how many muslims do you know in the western or eastern world that have adapted the Children of Afghansitan, how many Kurdish families have muslims acted as hosts or helped settle down, how many muslims do you know that is so materialsitic driven in a time like this including the so called Saydenas and Bohra Mullas that they will all gather in one place for Ashura. Do you know where the real Ahsura is? In the Tsunami lands. This is what Imam Hussein wants us to do, not Majalis, not matam, not eat food for 10 days and cry over him, why dont we cry over the people that are orphans, childless, homeless, widowed, Imam Hussain does not want you to cry over him, he is already dead, he will not come back!! Do you cry over your dead parents!! You revive what Imam Hussan represented in this world, represent what he stood for!! Whay do you blame the Western world. Islam is true and great religion, will always be the pious and masum Ahlul Bayts have left us a lot to learn from and what do we all do, bicker over Bohras, Shias, sunnis and why the west is against us! This is a reason that Allah is sending us a message and we are so full of self greed that the noor that was destined for each believing Muslim has slowly been snatched away by Allah himself.

Sorry for all the typos..but this ideal chit chat by you all makes me "puke" and dont realy care the mistakes I have.

Take the time to read Sura tawbah verse 9 aya 34-35 and see if Allah has already pointed out our faults!

Dear brother Ithna,

Thank you for forwarding me the site. I have already sent in my contribution to my favourite charity, which is already helping people in India and other parts of the world.

You are right that it is the duty of every Muslim to help the victims of disasters irrespective of their beliefs.

May Allah S.W.T. bless you and guide you.

You can also make a donation to Focus Humanitarian Assistance (FOCUS)

Focus Humanitarian Assistance (FOCUS) is an international group of agencies established in Europe, North America, and South and Central Asia that have developed a specialisation in disaster preparedness, mitigation, prevention and disaster response. FOCUS has been active in Tajikistan since 1997 and has played a lead role in designing and implementing a variety of disaster preparedness, mitigation and prevention (PMP) initiatives – ranging from Hazard and Vulnerability Assessments (HVAs) and disaster preparedness training with local communities to risk mitigation against natural hazards and strengthening government capacity (specifically the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Civil Defence’s capacity) to respond to emergencies.

FOCUS is an affiliate of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The Aga Khan Development Network is a group of private, non-denominational development agencies and institutions that seek to empower communities and individuals, often in disadvantaged circumstances, to improve living conditions and opportunities in specific regions of Africa and Asia. Active in over 20 countries, the Network's underlying impulse is the ethic of compassion for the vulnerable in society and its agencies and institutions work for the common good of all citizens, regardless of origin, gender or religion.

The AKDN has since 1993, launched a number of successful initiatives in Central Asia in areas ranging from agrarian reform to education, infrastructure, healthcare, micro-credit, small enterprise development and cultural revitalisation. These include the creation of rural support programmes in Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, curriculum development for universities in the region through the Aga Khan Humanities Project, promotion and preservation of musical traditions of the region through the Aga Khan Music Initiative, educational support for students, faculty and university resources for training in a variety of disciplines ranging from English language and Economics to Architecture and Computer-Aided Design. Cultural and social development initiatives have been enhanced by support for health and education sector reform and formal collaboration with the United Nations, five Central Asian republics and Russia in regional drug control programmes. The Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED), in collaboration with other international investors has established the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank, the country’s largest commercial bank. Complementing its engagement in the financial services sector, AKFED operates an extensive micro-credit programme in Tajikistan and has just launched, in collaboration with the IFC, the Pamir Energy Company which operates one of the largest power projects in the region.

God bless,

Dear Momin,

I did send my contribution to FOCUS of course, and in Canada, the Canadian Government has agreed to match every dollar collected by FOCUS. Isn't that great? So if FOCUS collects a million, Canada will add in a million.
