Emotionally charged letters to politicians will get you no where. This scam can only be brought down by <u>following the money</u>, at least in the US. These memos and requests for money complied for the year, pictures of Amils accepting salaams sitting next to a wad of cash or Lifafas, documenting the ownership of Kothar homes in the US (public information), compared to the tax return filed by Anjuman-e-Burhanee, may cause the IRS to conduct an audit. IRS can subpoena expense records, some paid for in cash during the Dai’s stay here such as hotel, limo rentals, etc. directly from the vendors

Not a doubt in my mind that this audit will blow a hole in the Tax Return. Remember, it was eventually tax fraud that brought down Al Capone, they couldn’t prove much beyond that. In no way am I comparing the crimes of these two individuals.

I must say that the not so subtle encouragement of obtaining "Qurdans" to pay for this "unit" did shock me. I suggest this Sheik Mogri guy consider paying on behalf of these low income individuals as no doubt he is in for hell of a lot more than the $2552 anyway.
