Here's a challenge for you or one of your "regressive" and Kothari-brain-washed Jaahils:
Name atleast one documented and evidentiary example of a charitable endeavour by the Kothar which has helped "humanity" in general. By "humanity", we don't mean the so-called charity to thousands of Kothari Shehzaadas/Shahzaadis/Bhaisahebs/Sheikhs/Mullas and other patronage sycophants, parasites and leaches who live off the sweat, blood, and tears of the gullible Bohri flock. So much so that the Bohri women have to resort to selling their bodies to raise waajebbats for the Jamaats to feed the Kotharis' lust for money and power.
How many "humans" got helped by the Kotharis during the various calamities (such as Tsunamis), riots, revolutions and civil unrests (such as the earthquake and communal riots in Gujrat and Somalia, revolution in Zanzibar, deportation of Asians in Uganda and Madagaskar).
Kothar, to appease the Hinduvata Government of Modi of Gujrat issued a fatwa to Bohris NOT to accept any help or assistance from the Government.
When the Bohris were running for their lives from Somalia, the Ithna Asheri Community of East Africa shipped the destitute Bohris and other Asians to a safe haven in other parts of East Africa.
What Kotharis are good is at is to circumvent the tax, customs and foreign exchange laws of foreign countries. The most famous is the deportation of Syedna from Tanzania on exchange control contravention. The other example is the smuggling of gems by the Kotharis from Sri Lanka in their Pagdis.
The tax law/charity contaventions are laundering personal expenses through the Jamaat registered charitable institutions; e.g. buying personal cemetry lots through the Jamaats and getting a tax charity receipt; holding personal wedding or other jamans at the jamaat marqazes through the jammat organization and getting tax receipts for the payments routed through the Jamaats - and NOT providing receipts for the payments made to Dawat-e-Hadiya (Syedna himself)under the pretext of salaams and nazranas to HH and Imam in seclusion.
We understand that the ruse of Kothar hobnobbing with the politicians is to seek some delusion of grandeur. They want a Nobel Prize for HH and the only recommendation the Nobel Prize Committee will accept is from some Governments or Heads of States.
The Kotharis have used and are using the community funds to make illegal political donations (bribes) to the likes of India CMs and PM; Clinton, Gore and Bush; PM Paul Martin of Canada; President Mubarak of Egypt and numerous other politicians - examples of which can readily be found in the Kothari websites such as Malumaat.com or Mumineen.org

Ok so you asking about what the jamaat or dawat has done . I m not sure of the places you mentioned but i can tell you about the gulf war here in kuwait and the gujarat riots coz i have had first hand experiences so if you have any proper facts then talk else don just vent your frustration out here.
Firstly lets start with why i m grateful to the dawat and our beloved Maula in particular. During the War when everything here was in ruins it was the jamaat and Maula in particular that took care of us . Made sure that in every markaz there were majlis and food after that when there was scarcity everywhere. You have no freaking idea what it was like and i know coz we had to wait for a piece of bread in aline for hours and there it was when we had tonnes and tonnes of food here to help everyone survive and give hope. Its times like these that you know whats it like to be in a community like this and it was then when i saw people who used to say all the bad things about the dawat but came running back to it just to feel safe and get decent food. talk about hypocrisy.There is no point in gettin instances of how a few people do something worng and you blame the whole community for it. I m sure it happens in every community. Even here i m quoting the prime minister shaikh Sabah . he said that the bohras under the syedna are the most peace loving and law abiding community in kuwait and we have no single serious criminal offense by a bohra in the history of this arab kingdom.
coming back to the war times. We bohras were the only people that were not looted molested or harrassed by the barbaric army of Iraq. You should have been here to see what crimes they have committed against the people mainly civilians and they used to take their helmets off and respect anyone with a topi and let them just go past the checkpoint without checking. Its this kind of respect that we want.
Secondly during the riots i was in my hometown on a vacation and i have seen it first hand how the shops were burnt down and looted and veerything and it was then that the whole community came out to help the ones affected. Our Maula keeps us together and i m sure if something like that happens to you tomo you all will come running to this very same refuge no matter how smart you act right now.. when the time comes you will be shit$%#@ bricks and nothing else will make sense to you.
And coming back to the hospital . Why are you so affected by we giving money for it . why does it bother you that we have paid our hard earned money for it. Its our money and we know where its gone and the end thing is its a hospital which cured the ill. Even if as you say its not gonna make a difference to the poor even if it cures people who can afford to pay the basic objective is served of a hospital in general. how it really helps the poor you just have to wait and see i guess it will all be clear soon

We visited Gujrat (Morbi, Anjar and Mandvi) in 2001, six months after that devastating earthquake.
The door at Morbi's Mazaar/Mosque was still hanging out of the hinges - although we were told that Kothar's engineers had visited the site soon after the mayhem.
The Bohri survivors who had lost their family members and all their worldly assets, including their businesses, were given some measly monetary (I think 11,000 Rps)from the funds collected from throughout the world by Kothar. They had to travel to Rajkot to cash their cheques and pay for their own travel and an exhorbitant amount of bank charges.
They were given a temporary shelter at the somewhat destroyed Musafirkhana but each family was charged 14 Rps a night by the Kothar, and they were advised to go and relocate in Rajkot - without any assistance for shelter or business funding.
They told us that the Ismaili Aga Khanis and Ithna Asheri Khojas' Indian and Overseas donors visited their community members victims immediately after the earthquake with tents, blankets, clothing,food & water and financial assistance. Kothar sent Shehzaadas and engineers with Moulas benedictions to the Bohri victims - and after six months we did NOT see much of improvements or progress to the Bohris' plight.
3. We (six of us) stayed at the Mandvi Mazaar's Musafir Khana and were asked to deposit three days rental - although we told the caretaker that we only were there for a night.
When we were checking out, the caretaker asked us to give the rest of the refund of our deposit for "Bhukham" (earthquake) fund, which we did. We told the caretaker that we had aleady donated hefty sums to our respective countries Jamaat and the moneys were sent to Kothar. The caretaker told us that they hadn't seen "a paay" (a penny!).
We were having a meal at the Mazar with some people from Bhuj and they told us that Kothar had given the victims only a minute fraction of their losses as compared to what Kothar had collected from the Bohris from throughout the world.

The term "petty shopkeepers" is used in a metamorphical sense rather than literal.....its about the mentality and not the profession per se..I call somebody a petty shopkeeper if he is just concerned about SELLLING his pruducts and services and nothing else in the world...such a person is absolutely indifferent to any happenings in his surroundings which doesnt effect him....petty shopkeepers never contribute anything to humanity and just do not make any positive change ...they live in a perpetual insecurity...they are just another brick in the worn out wall and the society stagnates becuz of them...they are insular ,highly self centred and cannot think beyond their own petty concerns of making money...in the process they end up abetting injustice since they do not want to put their ass in trouble...so its all about attitude and not profession...the progressives cannot be termed as petty shopkeepers even if they are running small grocery shops since they have their eyes open to the happenings around and they raise their voice...their concerns go beyond their own narrow sustainance and they bother about the greater common good ....on the contrary, a pro kothar bohri would be a petty shopkeeper even if he is an MBA from Harvard and a CEO of a fortune 500 company cuz of the simple reason that his concerns are petty....you never see bohris indulge in political movements...infact you never see mulla burhanuddin seriously concerned about the socio political situation of the world or even India although he gives token statements at times....during gujrat riots, he was just concerned about saving the bohri asses (who are his perennial source of income)...so mean of him!!

Reformists are NOT collecting crores of rupees from the community in the name of compulsary taxes like wajebat, salams, in the name of various schems like Galiakot railway lines, Safe cooperative bank, cool water foundation at Chawpati Bombay, Sandows House and Saifee Golden Jubilee Technological Institution, which inspite of collecting huge funds from the community never came in existance.
Reformists are not collecting any money from the community hence there is no question of doing any Charity by them. The main aim of the Reformist Movement is to compel Sayedna Saheb's administration to spend community's funds on the walefare of the community.
The foundation stone of Saifee Golden Jubilee Technological Institution was led by Sarpalli Dr. Radhakrishnan, then President of India on the most valuable trust property of the the Bohra Community, Dawood Baugh, in a red-light area near Bycalla in Bombay. And I still have the broucher and Front Page cutting of Times of India in which it was claimed that it will be the biggest and most modern technical institution in Asia.
It never came in to existence. When, as a press reporter, I had questioned Dr. Yusuf Najmuddin in a Press Conference held by him at the time inaugrution of 4-Crores Rozat-Tahera, his reply was "This roza is built by the followers of Sayedna and that institution is going to be built by Sayedna's own money and naturally it will take time."
But the valuable land of Dawood Baugh was sold to builders latter on and the Institution never came in the existent.
It was because then Reformist movement was not that srong and there was no one to pull Sayedna Saheb in the law court for cheating a man like the President of India and the entire nation.

Syedana has finally MADE one hospital, that too with crores from someone else.
What else he has done for community other than rozas, qubas, mazars, grave worshipping, idol worshipping and sajjdas to him? What is his contribution towards welfare of community, he is just a Rohanee Bawa or what? How he will SAVE us? he is a mortal human being.
And it is not only Maula, the whole Royal Family is involved in loot and plunder. The Shahzadas are the rulers - just see the way they behave, act and talk. See the Bhai Sahebs and Amils - in todays world who accepts all that. Maula at one side, this small bohras community has hundreds of maulas and each wants ppl to do sajjdas..!!!!

During Gulf war Jumaat members were the first to leave and they looted all the money of our community....I hope u rememeber about the case of the Amil after immediate gulf war who ran away with thousands of Kuwaiti Dinars and needleass to say that many more Aamils and sheikhs have ran away after that.....
Regarding Violation of Rules...50%of Bohris are either on khadim's visa or shun visa and not working for their sponsor and this is an illegal and if cought they can be depoted....Needless to say Cooks working in all the clubs,Outdoor business men and many Indoor sales men of our community are working il-legally.....Biya and passanger picking is illegal in kuwait and majority working in this fields are bohris.....
Our Kotharis should realise that any income of these sorts are illegal and taking sabeel.vaajebaat etc from such sort of people is also "HARAAM"...but no they don't do that because all their concerned is money and thats all...by hook or by crook...by halal means or by haram means....

Other ailments commonly found among bohras:
- Stone formation in kidney
- Arthritis
- Down Syndrome (though it is directly related to maternal age BUT I have observed it happening more in highly inbred families)

Tahir has what we call CBS (Cry Baby Syndrome)....whereby the patient seeks attention by making unnecessary noises....like crying like a baby!
One hopes CBS is not contagious and that other "reformists" haven't caught it. It does seem to be a chronic infection...so my advise is don't catch it, coz it'll be darned difficult to get rid of it!
