Sayedna meets Modi -- take this poll

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Shame on you!

You concoct up a few "very biased" statements as possible responses, and call it a 'survey". Do you even know the meaning of "polling"?

Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS) Zindabaad!

May all the enemies of our shafia Maula burn in hell forever.

Pathetic attempt for a poll. It is a classic example of 'Hobson's choice'. No choice at all.

I will let this one pass.

When I mention no choice at all, let the readers decide themselves:
Question 1 of 4: Was Sayedna Saheb right in meeting Modi?
Choose 1
Yes

No

Don't know

Question 2 of 4: Why did he not condemn Modi's role in Gujarat riots?
Choose up to 2
Does not have guts

Does not care about suffering of Bohras/Muslims

Loves fanatics

Question 3 of 4: Will this alliance help Muslims/minorities of India in the logn run?
Choose 1
Yes

No

Maybe

Question 4 of 4: What is the strategy behind this meeting?
Choose up to 2
Buy protection through donation and Bohra votes

Protect Bohra businesses - source of his income

Convert Modi to Islam

Q2 & 4 are seeking an opinion and so they are not proper. Q1 & 3 are OK.

I see you are back Simon ! How about commenting on the pictures I produced for you? Go ahead & have guts to tell me that I manufactured them? Atleast now you should be doubly convinced after what happened in Surat when Syedna greeted the maass murderer! Are you not ashamed of your leader or you are still brainless fanatic as usual? All the real Muslims should condemn Syedna"s act as antihuman & antimuslim & he no longer deserves to be leader of Bohras!

latest news about the murderer Modi-----------------
Narendra Modi raises anti-Muslim pitch

Modi was unrelenting in his bid to play down the fact that Congress President Sonia Gandhi was amongst the first to condemn the Godhra massacre, by loudly wondering why the Congress was silent when the karsevaks were burnt in the train on February 27 and how all of a sudden they raised their voice the very next day when there was a backlash against the Muslims, says Venkat Parsa

New Delhi, November 12

Gujarat Caretaker Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi has rolled out the Gaurav Rath Yatra from Godhra, pitching for the Hindutva agenda. Expectedly, Modi has launched an anti-Modi tirade. Narendra Modi accused the Congress of being hand-in-glove with the Muslims. Apparently, Modi is looking for communal consolidation, making Godhra his principal poll plank.

Expectedly, tension mounted in Mehsana district of Gujarat after two people were killed and over 20 injured in communal violence. A mob, which had assembled at a temple for a festival, burnt down 12 houses forcing the police to open fire.

About 25,000 people had gathered for a religious ceremony to mark the inauguration of a new temple when a rumour sparked off violence between the two communities. “There was a rumour that some Muslims had come armed with sticks to beat people. In the fracas, there was some stone throwing and violence,” said one eyewitness. Ironically, the village had remained calm during the post-Godhra violence even though neighbouring areas had been torn apart by riots.

Modi was unrelenting in his bid to play down the fact that Congress President Sonia Gandhi was amongst the first to condemn the Godhra massacre, by loudly wondering why the Congress was silent when the karsevaks were burnt in the train on February 27 and how all of a sudden they raised their voice the very next day when there was a backlash against the Muslims. “Agar Congress ka tarazu ek rehta, to shaayad Gujarat ko itna bura jhatka na jhlena padta (If the Congress had been fair, then perhaps Gujarat would not have suffered so much),” he remarked. “Those who died after Godhra, were they only human beings? Does the colour of the dead bodies also change?” he asked.

Modi accused the Congress of playing politics over the dead bodies of human beings, lecturing to them on moral values and how they should rise above party politics at such brutal and ghastly incidents. “Why was the Congress silent?” he asked and wondered whether its mouth was locked by Italian lock?”

According to Modi, the Congress always remained silent on the issue of violence against the Hindus. The burden of Modi was that the Congress remained silent even on Godhra incident. Playing to the sentiments of the large Hindu gathering, Modi accused the Congress of audacity to blame the karsevaks of burning the train and blaming the incident on not paying Rs 2 for tea, which resulted in the tragedy. “Satta ki bhook aisi nahi hoti (Hunger for power is not practiced like this),” he remarked. Modi said there is nothing wrong if the passengers were raising the slogans of Ram. “Kya is desh mein Jai Shri Ram bolna gunah hai kya? Kya, is ke liye hume Italy jana padega (Is it a crime to raise slogans of Jai Shri Ram? For this, do we need to go to Italy)?”

Modi did not spare the Muslims, saying that they criticised the Godhra incident, as they did during the Akshardham violence. The situation would not have worsened to such an extent.

Equally vitriolic has been his attack on Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who holds a Constitutional post of Leader of Opposition, when he targeted her for her Italian connections. Modi harped on her Italian chashma (spectacles), which he repeats in rally after rally. In Godhra, he went a step further. He poked fun at her ignorance over the Hindu rituals, particularly the Jagannath Yatra. Amidst laughter from the crowd, he said that Sonia Gandhi mistook Lord Jagannath for a BJP leader. He wanted to know from her supporters, “Who is Jagannath? Why is his Yatras important?” he said.

The only reason for Syedna to meet that Narendra [MC] Modi , was to protect his economic interests. These "safedposh" just want to be in good books of all those who r in power bcoz they lack courage of conviction . Shame on these spineless reptilian creatures.
Personally whoever is in the company of Narendra (MC) Modi , I see him as a pimp . Be it Arun Jaitley ( Devil's advocate) or the Union Government or this Syedna ( The spinless Peshwa of bohras) .

I have a couplet from Fanaah Kaanpuri for this Syedna which is as if just written for him .

Aap ka koi Peer -e - Mugaah hi nahin,
Jaanta hai har ek paarsaa aapko

Admin,

I must admit, this is not much of a poll. Very biased and skewed toward a particular opinion. Surely you can come up with something more objective.

Last thing we want is this site to end up like one of the "official" Bohra sites.

Thank you all for your comments. Your criticism of the poll is valid - and we half expected it. The thing is that the poll was not meant to be taken seriously. It was more of a spoof, a tongue-in-cheek thing. But obviously it misfired. We should have known better. We should have explained better. The fault is entirely ours. Our apologies.

Muddai is right, none of us wants this site to be a clone of the orthodox sites out there. We've always tried to be free, open and objective as far as possible. And we'll continue to try, an occasional lapse or two notwithstanding.

Thank you once again for your comments and support.

Burhanuddin has quite a large number of business and holdings and he doesn’t want the tax collector to harass him. Few cores of contribution to Modi usually does the trick.

So what if Modi is responsible for rampage that killed hundreds of Muslims and destroys many of bohra business..

Khotar is only concern about their business, property and wealth. They don’t give a damn about average poor bohra that suffers because of this bastrd Modi.
