Wasted time at the UN?

So much for the Israeli nuclear weapons against Hizbullah tin cans with ball bearings.

A Defiant Hezbollah Rises From the Rubble

It's a pity America decides to destroy every democracy that it decides to create in the middle east. Hopefully the morons in the middle east will see it before the Americans decide to establish another democracy in the region.

Why the need for outsiders to create a democracy ? The answer is easy; create your own democracy, whatever flavor you choose is your decision. Stop screwing with the Bohras and Shiah and focus on Wahabis. Since the Quran does not allow it, keep religion outside of the democratic process and make it a personal choice. Islam will always be vulnerable as the Quran is not sophisticated enough to provide for basic security needs that the terrorists, dictators and invaders can provide.

And if you don't we will force you create one, we will make war on you, we will destroy your country, we will rape your women, steal your oil and create a democracy for you. And if you defend yourselves you are nothing but terrorists.

A bumper sticker says it all:

"BE NICE TO AMERICA OR WE'LL BRING DEMOCRACY TO YOUR COUNTRY."

Hezbollah Leads Work to Rebuild, Gaining Stature

I think the reconstruction of Iraq should be handed over to Hizbullah. The useless Americans haven't been able to rebuild the two towers, forget about Iraq.

Good, then perhaps the Hizbollah can find you a better job than the "useless" Americans have, and you can move to Lebanon. Preferably, Southern Lebanon.

This is an over statement. I was and am against unilateral invasion of Iraq. But what you stated in above is exactly, what saddam hussain was doing. Americans have occupied iraq since last 3 years, saddam had it under his foot for thirty years.

My question is, why didn't iraqi rise to overthrow him, like they are doing today. Saddam was brutal to shia majority. Now uprising is purely sunni phenomenon. The sunnis are not ready to accept the majority rule in iraq.

There was every reason to overthrow saddam hussain. It would have been legitimate, if it was done through united nations.

American neo cons, like rumsfield, dick cheney, made this very legitimate operation illegal. Americans should understand, that by going right, they are also going south in every field of life, like education, health, human rights, even in economic field.

It was none of their concern, whatever weapons, a soveriegn iraqi nation had, or trying to acquire. It was their right under united nations charter of soveriegnity. But the same charter makes it illegitimate to brutalise the population. It was very legal to bring saddam to justice for crime against humanity, and his brutalization of iraqi populace. saddam hussain should have been dislodged by united nations, by sending a united nation force, and then holding free and fair election in a limited time period, they could have come out.

In view of above reasoning, every arab dictator is an illegal ruler, it is legitimate to dislodge all these dictators. But it should be done through due process, by united nations general assembly. Why is this, that only muslims are let to be suffered under dictatorships. World should come to realization, that every human being on planet earth carries the same right.

You scare me Anajmi, and I hope you never get to be my neighbor or that of any peace loving human being.

I am hoping the Hizbollah finds a job for you soon. Not sure if they can pay you for 8 while working 4 but they will assume that USD = LBP.

other side of the story..

http://www.dailystar.com.lb/article.asp ... e_id=74822

But worse than these external pressures is the fact that the Lebanese are so often cheated by their own politicians, who are up to their waists in the honey jar of the state. For decades, the political elite have stolen money from the state's coffers and skimmed billions from the government's financial transactions. The Lebanese mafias which profit from the theft of hundreds of millions of dollars every year are protected by politicians in Parliament and Cabinet - politicians who are often paid compensation over and above the money that has been stolen from the citizens.

Instead of responding to the needs of their citizens, the political elite respond to the whims of their cronies, employing them in government offices and creating bloated bureaucracies that cannot meet the needs of the people. Instead of seeing themselves as public servants, Lebanon's political elite view themselves as a privileged class. Instead of acting like responsible representatives, they have dithered in addressing the people's demands - including an end to corruption, accountable leadership, a fair electoral law and an independent judiciary.
