Meaning of salat is praying 5 times a day - Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha as per the teachings of the prophet. 2 rakats for Fajr, 4 rakats for zurh, asr and isha and 3 rakats for maghrib. These are the fard rakats Without these the salat is incomplete and not counted. There are rakats for sunnah before and/or after the fard prayers. If you want we can go into the details. The fard prayers have been confirmed by Hazrat Ali in Nahjul Balagha. Everything else you posted can be safely ignored.

You take a test. You either pass or fail. There is no in between. Your answer was wrong so you failed. Jawanmardan may not agree with our approach or style towards you and this website but that does not necessarily say that he is supportive of you. Your efforts to pit JM against the rest of Ismailis are ill-conceived. JM has disagreed with me on a couple of occasions and I have accepted his wisdom.
