Dear Brother and sister
i am very Distress recently when i saw painted potrait of Imam Ali and decapitated Head of Imam Hussein potrait selling in Kerbala and in Lebanon.

since fall of Dictator Sadam Hussein Shia can again freely pray at najf and kerbala shrine of Imam Ali and Imam hussein and openly grief at YOUM ASHURA martyrdom of Imam Hussein.
In Islam we are not allowed to have image of any kind or Idol worship.
Recently in kerbala and lebanon many painter are selling painting of Imam Ali and Imam Hussein.
first of we dont know how they look!! secondly i am more distress when painter are selling painting of Depacitated Imam Hussein Head with Blood Dripping, this has created more tension between sunni and shia.
Imam Ali has been Potrait as Handsome person like christian portrait of Jesus Christ,Imam Hussein with blood Dripping.
Don't you think it is shrik in Islam to have any sort of Image.
I think Shia in Iraq and Lebanon has gone too out of step by painting picture of Imam Ali and Imam Hussein.
Why Ayatollah and Mullahs of shia are keeping Quiet about this in Iraq and Lebanon!!
Sadam is in custody of America Shia is free to pray and religious observance, but now in fighting has started between shia cleric for power and greed of lucrative iraqi oil many shia cleric has been intimidated and murdered by rival shia group.
power and greed is very dangerous it corrupt the people in name of religion when individual use power it is more dangerous and ordinary law abiding people suffer!!

hi, i'm sure it disturbed you alot.. and i dont agree with the portrayal of this issue in that way.. but i am an artist too, and sometimes people can feel the need to express themselves. maybe thats how he sees it. we all percieve art differently.. you are entitled to your opinion and many ppl will agree with you..
perhaps that artist should keep those paintings to himself, but then again, this world is a vicious circle, you gotta make money to live...
