One thought keeps bothering me all the time and that is " how come these highly educated people with enlightened worldview could accept the dictatorial handling of the mainstream Bohra Communities by the so called spiritual leader and his coterie. These guys know very well that it's wrong to attribute the godly characters to a human being, still they would hold Sayedna in a such a high esteem that it would embarrassingly appear godly treatment to him. I can't subscribe to the idead of brainwashing!! Family and peer pressure may be one of the reasons of the joining their ranks!! Ours is not a religious Movement for we do accept the line of succession of Dai-ul-Mutlaq (may be some say it's valid up to 46th). Our's is a social reform movement, where democrative values together with forward looking approach to administer the community, is at the core of it all. However, frankly speaking, looking around the caos the confustion that religion has caused the world over, it makes one feel that is it worthwhile to stick to a particular belief!! Relgion is supposed to provide "nirvana", peace of mind, good way of life and in fact every religion does provide the same. However, those, so called spiritual leaders, have highjacked the true teachings of religion and blanded it with their brand of vanomous tenets, which spew venom and fire, causidng death and distruction all around us.

Actually, we should forge a different unity, which would run along the line of universalism, where religious leaders are given a go by. We should not talk in terms of religious belief but a belief that would bind us together with one thread of universal brotherhood. This is the call of the hour. Clarion Call.

I would disagree with that. The highly educated people have either become progressives or disbelievers (turning into farts). If you look at the postings of the Dais slaves you will realize that they don't have any education or religious knowledge.

Confused mind can never think right. And these so called spiritual leaders ensure that "their followers' " minds always remain confused. Also they employ "henchmen", perenially on the pay-roll, to keep clogging the minds of those who ever make an attempt to get out of ghetos and come out in the open and breath fresh air of freedom and forebearence.

Mr. guy, please just once ask yourself honestly whether you are happy with these people who make people hate people in the name of religion; who twist and turn every shred of logic and reasoning to proove that it's "their" brand of Islam only would ensure entry in the heaven. Look around, how much blood has been shed in the name of religion. Mainstream or splinter, religion as a whole is being used for the bloodletting massively.

it's our earnest effort to make people see who refuse to see the difference between black and white. I agree and there will be more and more people coming aboard as time passes. I accidentally found this website and I'm happy I did. As I child I was fed the same ortho diet of matam etc in the madresa I went to and I was told of reformists as 'din na dushman'. And that they want to destory dawoodi bohra existence and moula. I was fed all these lies and quite literally I accepted it as I didn't know better. It was although when I had enough with the administration and they couldn't answer my simple questions, I looked up to internet to find info. And guess what I found! A sea of information, true and legit information. Not lies like I was fed in childhood.

I also remember the day when I woke up and heard the news (gossip around) that 'moula par humlo thayo'. 'asghar ali engineer e moula par humlo karyo'. I heard it but no one had the details of what had actually happened. I wanted to know the details and I just found it some days ago on this website.

I guess there was a mention of spewing venom and spreading hatred by admirer on another thread. But from what I see and my personal experience, the spreading of hatred is done by our community leaders against the people who want to fight for truth. Its time we woke up.
