Time off from school - letter

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

............read this letter, asked by jamaat to give in the school

Subject : Time off request for Dawoodi Bohra Children during Moharram.

Dear Madam,
Thank you for your kind consideration last year to students of our community. We are the ‘Dawoodi Bohra’ community and had approached you for student time off during our Annual Moharram observances.
Dawoodi Bohras worldwide, observe sermons during the first 10 days of Moharram every year. These days commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), grandson of Prophet Mohammed P.B.U.H. Our community attaches a great deal of importance to these annual sermons and attendance is necessary for the children’s well rounded development.
This year the sermons are scheduled to be held from 11 am until 2 pm, from Wednesday 8th December 2010 to Thursday 16th December 2010 – both days inclusive.
To enable the Dawoodi Bohra students to take benefit of the sermons along with their parents, we will appreciate if you would permit them to leave latest by 10 am, on above days. Also, day long observances are held on the final day so please be kind enough to give the students leave of absence on Thursday 16th December.
We would also request you to visit the examination schedule during the above period and provide an alternate date to the students if there is a conflict.
You have our assurance that the time off will not affect the students’ performance. Their parents would take necessary care to ensure the loss of studies is recouped by the students.
Please feel free to revert to us for any further clarifications.
Thanking you for your kind cooperation.

There is a covering letter isuued with the above to dubai bohras which is as under :=

Dear Mumineen,

As part of the preparations for Ashara Mubaraka 1432, Anjuman-e-Najmi, Dubai has written to a number of schools in Dubai to create an awareness of the importance of Ashara Mubaraka to us. The schools have been requested to give Dawoodi Bohra children leave to attend Waaz during these Ayyam. Schools that have exams have been requested to make adjustments for Mumin students. At time of handing over the letters the schools have also been verbally made aware of the possibility of Aqa Moula(TUS) gracing Dubai with the Sharaf of Ashara Mubaraka in 1432.

While we received a positive response when the schools were approached, we have now learnt that a number of schools have scheduled exams during this period, or have declined to requests for leave. We hence need to approach the schools with a list of Mumineen’s children studying in the school to ensure the strength of Dawoodi Bohra children in the respective schools is established.

In this regard the following URGENT response is requested from Parents.

- Please submit your children’s details by filling this form CLICK HERE (paste this in your browser if the link does not work https://spreadsheets0.google.com/viewfo ... WThoQVE6MQ)

- We need one or two parents from each school to approach each school as a parent’s representative – if you would like to take up this task please send an email mentioning your Name, Mobile Number and School name to talimdubai@gmail.com.

All parents should also approach their children’s schools individually and obtain leave perrmission for their children to attend Waaz.

In case you have any queries in this regard please call Behen Fardia Mu Mustafa Shakir on 050-2784121 or Bhai Fakhruddin Motiwala on 050-6958733

With Iltemaas-ud-dua during Ashara Mubaraka

such kind of letters to schools can only be tolerated in countries like dubai. with all the activity of the progs and abdes battling each other on this site , I have a simple question . What do you think is the real reason behind such a request to the schools by this tamimi amil? if you think for a few minutes about human pcsycology before answering my question the very essence of tawil and batin will also dawn on you and this will also answer this question posed on another thread.

If this letter was sent to an Oz school the response would be something like this
Thank you for your kind consideration last year to students of our community. We are the ‘Dawoodi Bohra’ community and had approached you for student time off during our Annual Moharram observances.
So what ! there are 22million other Aussies and 1.2 billion Muslims worldwide does this apply to them too ! Can you please plan your events after school ?
Dawoodi Bohras worldwide, observe sermons during the first 10 days of Moharram every year. These days commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), grandson of Prophet Mohammed P.B.U.H. Our community attaches a great deal of importance to these annual sermons and attendance is necessary for the children’s well rounded development.
How does attending the sermon make kids rounded ! Are the sermons in English so the kids can undertsand the context ? We noticed you also give importance to Ramazan, Milad, Late nights after regular sermons and telecasts.
This year the sermons are scheduled to be held from 11 am until 2 pm, from Wednesday 8th December 2010 to Thursday 16th December 2010 – both days inclusive.
Do you realise you migrated at your own will and know we follow the Gregorian calendar and occasional day off is tolerable. May be you need to migrate to Iran or Iraq where your beliefs can integrate better, otherwise you create your own segregated schools and run it at your own times
Are you out of your mind, you need to choose if you want your sermons you can let go and live an uneducated life
