Is Jannat through Dai changing

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Is Jannat through Dai changing

Dear friends,
During last Moharram waez, both Dawats claimed that path to Jannat was only through Dai.
Basically, both sides told Bohras that if you want to go Jannat, grab Dai's daman. We challenged
that claim and provided evidence contradicting those claims including references with respect to
earning Jannat via good deeds.

Now Syedna claimant Taher Fakhruddin (real name Taher Qutbuddin) has sort of retracted that claim
and put out new language. This language says Ali's Shia will win paradise. This is more in line with
Quran. The quote by Taher Fakhruddin (taken from Sijill) is included below.

Their allegiance and love (walayat and mohabbat) for Rasulullah’s wasi, Maula Ali, is validated by their
allegiance to the Imams in Ali and Fatema’s line, link by link to the Present Imam, and to the Dais in
the Imam’s concealment, link by link to the Present Dai. And as Rasulullah said, “Ali’s Shia will win
paradise” (Shiato Aliyyin humul fa’izoon).

Babdeen. .can someone explain how this twist came along where in numerous places in the Quran it says one will attain paradise by deeds, faith in Allahs mercy and following Allahs commands etc etc.

I know scholars state love for Ahlul Bayt is stated in Quran, but to go further that Imams centuries later and now Diai are somehow associated with Ahlul Bayt, while ignoring all the Sayed are part of ahlul bayt along the family tree of the Prophet saw is a biased self contradiction statement.

what is even more questionable that diais 1400 years from the subcontinent somehow think they are the link to paradise just by declaration

I belive Ali AS would be more aligned to the Sunnah of Mohamed SAW and modest about his rank in comparison to a Prophet empatically stated in the Quran than we claim to be as his Shia. Put another way would Ali AS rather we be shia of Allah or shia of Ali?

how does this topic matter to reform? whether bohras 'attain' jannat or 'win' it, they are still required to grab something of the dai and hold on to it strongly, either his daaman, his hand, his finger, his feet, or .... !!! and of course they cannot grab anything of his without first offering fakhir najwo, i.e. a cover full of money. things have now come to such a pass, that muffy out of habit even denies his wife, the rt. honorable durratus sharaf, to grab any of his body parts without najwo.

it is easy to conjure up visions of the mad muffy taking off for jannat at supersonic speeds, a la' superman, his white spotless cape trailing behind him and lakhs of bohras hanging on to his langot for dear life while holding their topi with the other hand lest it fly off, and the amtes making futile attempts to protect their modesty inspite of their billowing ridhas swelling like parachutes... even the gates of jannat will tremble on seeing such an awesome sight, the farishtas scrambling for cover, chaos as gibraeel marshals his troops to prevent this onslaught of wild abdes/amtes with bloodshot eyes screaming for kharaas mithaas..
