1. They purchased a broken down two bedroom house at an highly inflated price of $300,000 by begging and borrowing money from our Dai as karz e hasana and demanding money from the mumineen.
2. They spent almost $40,000 in renovations to this place and called it Qutbi Park. even the common mumineen can see that they were cheated big time by the contractor. Indeed ,it is nothing more than a walk in the park.
3. Not satisfied with their corupt nature, they want to waste more of the dai's and mumineen's money ,almost a million dollars to tear this house down on which they spent all this money in the first place and build a mosque in its place.
4. The bhai saheb with his family and children is staying in this ramshackled place already condemned by the county with a long list of violations.
5. This deceptive and boastful committee is already spending $3000.00 per month in renting an office space in a commercial office complex and calling it markaz. It is blind leading the blind. Do they realize that this rent money is just going down the drain when the utilization of this office space is, may be a couple of times a month. What an utter waste of mumineen's money.
6. The money collection for the mosque is another issue , but another extra burden on the mumineen is to pay rent and electric bills for the bhaisahebs family when they demolish the bhaisahebs accomodation.
7. The committee handling the project is made up of people who have not the least idea or knowledge but want to be in the lime light by spending other mumineens money on useless drawings just to impress. Lakir ke Fakir, somebody told them two million so they started collecting two million dollars.
8. Instead of wasting mumineens and the Dai's money for their ego, it would be wise to look for an existing building or warehouse that they can buy outright and use it as a markaz instead of sending money down the drain on rent.
9. They talk about existing 100 mumineen families and have allocated parking spots in the mosque drawing for only 50 cars in this narrow lot.
10. Help the mumineen and help yourselves. Sell the junk that you purchased with the mumineens and Dai,s karz e hasana money and then spend that money in purchasing an existing building for the markaz, thereby saving headaches and frustration on the mumineen and yourselves. stop day dreaming . You know you were cheated by another muslim brother into buying this place. now do not let the mumineen pay the price for your boo, boos. They have suffered enough at your hands by your mistakes and have tolerated your ignorance long enough with your high flying attitude . With your demand for big sabils you have even successfully scared a lot of mumineen families from settling in atlanta.
just because of their faith in the Dai. the mumineen participate and suffer at your hands . Do not take advantage of their faith and burn thier pockets. Be brave and accept your mistakes .
The purpose of this writing is not to ridicule you, but this contructive criticism is for you to see the light. With hardly 10 to 15 families participating on a regular basis it is not feasible and utterly ruthless to demand such huge sums of $52000.00 from them let alone the other invisible expenses that you are not even aware of at this time which you will conveniently pass it on the mumineen or beg and borrow from our Dai. Do not drown the mumineen with your ego.
Do the right thing . Do not spend any more of our Dai's and mumineen's money on this piece of junk which is too small for a descent size mosque for the mumineen of Atlanta. Sell it and spend the money in buying a place for markaz.
the wasteful spending of the atlanta committee
Re: the wasteful spending of the atlanta committee
Is the Atlanta masjid being built at the same location where the now condemned markaz is located? If that is the case, there will be no need to purchase further land for the masjid. And the earlier Qarz, presumably, has been paid off.
Assuming that $3 million Qarz can now be obtained, is that sufficient sum to build a masjid in Atlanta? What is the estimate? $2 million seems a bit low. Based on the cost of Fremont masjid, which has only a dozen or so car parking spaces, at least $5 million will be needed.
That would mean a Qarz in excess of what the Atlanta families can afford. Maybe, they have a secret donor/donors among one of the very wealthy Atlanta families.

Re: the wasteful spending of the atlanta committee
maybe the atlanta jamaat should approach dawood ibrahim to have their masjid built. i have heard that he is a big contributor to islamic causes and helps muslims in need.
his donation would not be out of place at all. after all he is among good company. we have hundreds of "royal" extortionists and tyrants looting the community in the name of religion. perhaps dawoodbhai might actually learn a few lessons from our chanakyas...

How many roads must a man walk down, before they call him a man.
How many years can a mountain exist, before it is washed to the sea.
How many years can some people exist, before they are allowed to be free.
The answer my friend is blowing in the wind, the answer is blowing in the wind.
Howmany times must a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see.
How many ears can one man have, before he can hear people cry.
How many deaths will it take till he knows, that too many people have died.

Qutbi Park appears to be located on an appropriately named street..... Beaver Ruin Rd.
Another appropriate Dylan lyric
Disillusioned words like bullets bark
As human gods aim for their mark
Make everything from toy guns that spark
To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark
It’s easy to see without looking too far
That not much is really sacred
