Mansoos And His Month Long Yatra.

Mansoos has been on a travelling spree recently and has been to places some of which are almost unheard of. He is probably the only Dai (in waiting) to have taken such a whirlwind tour at such jet speed. Needless to say that he has also succeeded in extorting monies at the same jet speed.

With the qutbi bohra sword dangling on his head his marketing advisors have chalked out a detailed plan wherein he makes sure that he remains in public eye and that the focus is not shifted away from him towards the Mazun lest he ceases to be the head honcho of the Fort Knoxx (Saifee Mahal) which generates millions by the minute.

He has visited more then 22 towns within a period of one month............. Ratlam, Indore, Wadhwan, Botad, Wakaner, Jasdan, Lakhtar, Limdi, Ranpur, Rajkot, Neral, Nagpur, Amravati, Jabalpur, Akola, Chandur, Panchmari, Piparia, Jaora, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Rampura etc..

On Saturday the 27th April, bohras of Kandivli, Mumbai had to face the music. Elaborate arrangements were made and the road leading to the local bohra Masjid was lit up for his 2 days stay with Nikahs, Qadambosis and Ziafats lined up meticulously. A farman was issued by the local amil wherein every bohra family had to compulsorily cough up an amount of Rs.14,000/- (there are over 450 bohra families residing in Kandivli). The rates for Nikah were Rs.2,52,000/- (Two Lac Fifty Two Thousand Only) and for Ziafats it was Rs.21,52,000/- (Rupees Twenty One Lacs Fifty Two Thousand). A Ziafat of the local madrasa students was also organised wherein each student had to pay an amount of Rs.5,200/-.

The qadambosi drama was similar to that of his father, the 52nd Dai........... Mansoos was seated on the throne and hordes of abdes had lined up for qadambosi which was just kissing his feet, no hand kissing was allowed due to time constraint as the time wasted in kissing his feet could be better utilised i.e. he could take more Ziafats, monetary value of which is much higher then qadambosi. The amount of money he managed to extort in a short span of 24 hours could be anyones guess.

It is reported that in a single city of Nagpur alone he managed to extort Rs.22 crores !!

Now imagine the amount of money that he must have made in a single month by extorting monies from Bohras of more then 22 towns.

Now who says that the Tatas, Ambanis and Birlas make more money then any other Indian !!!

A similar incident took place during the 52nd Dai's visit to Chennai some years back. A posh bungalow belonging to an abde was selected for his fortnightly stay and the owner of the house was kicked out and had to stay in a nearby hotel alongwith his family and kids. Needless to say that lakhs of rupees were spent by the abde to refurbish the bungalow located in the posh Nungambakkam Road as per the Dai's taste.

In my uncle's case ,when the 52nd stayed at his bungalow, the bhaisahebs and chamchas had a field day. God only knows where they live and how they live, but the whole house was completely a pig sty. The worst time is when one of the crafty bhaisahebs pulls you in the corner and demands salams for all the bait e zainee and the zadas and their zadas. He collects atleast 250 envelopes for all the shahi family members that are not present. I wonder if he really gives the envelopes to them or pockets the money.

i too have had my mamu suffer this several times. in the earlier days - 70's and 80's, syedna used to travel within india, until he discovered the loot abroad, after bohras started migrating in larger numbers to europe, canada, usa etc.

my mamu's house too was taken over and him and my mami were relegated to a corner of their huge bungalow, that too only because they were both needed to arrange the food and logistics for mola and his retinue. they were bound hand and foot in mola's khidmat and his every wish was their command. before mola arrived, bathrooms had to be adjusted for the height of the taps so that water did not splash into the lota's, tiles had to be roughed up so mola's chakri did not slip, etc etc. new thaals and crockery and equipments had to be ordered, doorways had to be widened so sitaabi size thaals could pass through, all doors had to be fitted with dark purdahs, mola's room had to have special bethaks, fancy brocade cloths to adorn his pillows, special towels..... the list went on and on. in fact, no family member was allowed near to mola without his diwaan's permission. my mamu and mami became indentured servants in their own house, their kids had to be sent elsewhere to stay for the duration. their utilities - water, electricity, telephones, everything was used liberally and freely with no consideration of the homeowners! his bungalow literally became the command centre of mola and his handlers for the weeks that he stayed.

of course my mamu and mami were flattered beyond belief that mola stayed at their house, the resultant publicity was satisfaction enough. all the clean up, humungous bills, breakages, wear and tear, repairs etc was considered par for the course and normal collateral damage. but a time came in his life that my mamu suffered setbacks in life, financially, socially, health-wise etc and he could not afford to throw the same amount of money at the kothari rascals. the prestige and status that his name and fame enjoyed in the corridors of power in saifee mahal evaporated and on a couple of occasions he was turned away from saifee mahal quite curtly. all their overt flattery and oily ways vanished and only then did he realise what a fool he was! he then admitted to my father that he was naive and should have listened to him earlier. but the addiction of fame does not go away so easily and when things improved, there he was currying favors with the haramkhors once again! i loved my mamu but he wouldnt listen to me or to reason. perhaps he sought self-gratification and vindication of what he had lost.

the kothar is like a mujrawali kotha girl. it gives the appearance of dancing to your tune as long you keep throwing money in its direction. it directs towards you smiles and naughty thumka's, clever and sexy glimpses of forbidden pleasures, coy gestures in your direction to arouse and entangle you in its wiles, takes you higher and higher and entraps you in its web of deceit and glamour. but stop the money supply and they dump you, discard you and revile you like a piece of soiled ass-wiped toilet tissue, a leper and a vile beggar who is reeking of failure.

the kothar is like the film industry. those of you who have been socially in contact with the film fraternity will know what i mean. all false show, pomp, glamour, the rich, beautiful and powerful, the smell of big money, its a deadly nasha. its easy to fall into its trap. i have had the fortune to meet with most of the big stars socially during the 70's at parties. their larger than life presence, their stories, their looks, their style and affairs, its a heady combination. with our typical south asian cultural outlook, we worship all those who are rich and powerful, the celebrities. the kothari's are our simple bohra community's rock stars and icons. they worship their wealth, their power and all the hoopla which travels with them.

being wiser after the fact is no consolation as the kothari mafia have no compunction, no mercy, no sympathy for your present condition. they worship only one god - MONEY! allah and islam is but a convenient tool to deceive and loot, just as patriotism, gandhi, jinnah, etc are convenient bywords for corrupt politicians of india/pakistan. saifee mahal is where the golden fleece is held and the syedna's family are constantly fighting over it, pulling, pushing, trying to grab a leg or a juicy piece. the image they give outside is a mirage, an illusion, inside they are blood-thirsty pirates, cut-throats and brigands. they would murder their own brothers if so much was not at stake.

After the MP tour Mansoos has now flown to Chennai as part of his publicity cum extortion yatra. The Chennai bohras rank amongst the top tax payers to kothar as it has a majority of sidhpuris who are the most gullible lot and succumb to kothari pressures easily. Hence the collection here could be anyones guess. It is reported that here the Mansoos charges a sum of Rs.5.52 lacs per nikah (minimum). The Ziyafat, Mafsusiyat, Hadiyat, Qadams, Qadambosi figures are yet to come.

But the icing on the cake is that immediately after the vayez Mansoos will be attending 10 Ziafats simultaneously thereby collecting a few crores !!

You can only participate in these functions if you are 'clear'; that you are not delinquent in your payments of Wajebaat. So what choices do you have: Pay the Wajebaat and attend, pay the Wajebaat and not attend or do not pay Wajebaat and do not (cannot!) attend.
