it would have been an unfortunate incident, but i think it was meant to scare rather than detonate it. simultaneously they were found at many places but not active. worrisome is that now our centers are on list, as it used to be shia's. we should be very careful.

Re: Bomb defused in Karachi Hyderi market(Bohri area near Ja
it is a very complex situation, usually taliban and alike are responisible in shia mosques and imam bargahs. but there are lot of other factors too. first thing we should do is to become more sensitive about current situation. our regular exhibition and disregard for situation will lead us in some unfortunate situation. it is not worth risking lives of ordinary people. our unique dress code makes us easy target. God forbid if karachi has to have some kind of taliban influence, it will become really problemetic. Altaf hussain is warning about their influence since last years, it seems they are getting foothold in karachi among pathan population.

Their creed is to kill all Shia and all Sunnis that come in their way. It is time to resort to Taqiyya in Pakistan and abandon the Bohra dress code.
Re: Bomb defused in Karachi Hyderi market(Bohri area near Ja
Wahabis/Salafis are not only against Shias but also against Ahamadiyas and specially against Sufis. They have attacked and destoryed many Sufi shrines in Sind and Punjab ini Pakistan. Their pernicious influence -fuelled by Saudi and Qatari petro dollar - is poisoning young minds across the globe. I'm seeing young men turning into hardcore brainwashed wahabis. And they seem to be more militant and zealous than our garden variety abdes. It's really scary.

If you call any salafi or Wahabi Sunni Muslim a Yazid and Muawiya lovers then they will consider it a insult. They would prefer not to indulge in this and call themself lovers of Allah and his Prophet.Porus
The Taliban are Wahhabis=neo-Salafis=Muawiya and Yazid lovers.
I do not intend to derail this thread so no further comment.

On the contrary, they will welcome it.Muslim First wrote:

For Wahhabis and neo-Salafis, Muawiya was a devoted companion of the Prophet and hence pristine, even better than the Salafiyya. All the Sahabas are considered by them to be blameless without any fault whatever. They grudgingly have to include Ali among them, although, in truth, they would prefer not to.
These Sahabas, according to Wahhabis, were better than Prophet Muhammad, whom they consider prone to errors and not at all infallible.

I have been going around Wahabi, salafi, Sunni, shia and Bohra religious centers for last 35 years and have not seen love for Yazid-Muawiya ( therefore hatred of Ali). Idid notice extra love for Ali and hint of guarded hatred for 3+1.
I am surprised with your black and white view.

You are right to some extent but I have witnessed some muslims especially who follow the deobandi school of thought, praising Muawiya and addressing him as Hazrat Muawiyah (r.a.). Needless to say that there is substantial evidence to establish the fact that deobandis are funded by saudi petrodollars in a big way.Muslim First wrote: I have been going around Wahabi, salafi, Sunni, shia and Bohra religious centers for last 35 years and have not seen love for Yazid-Muawiya ( therefore hatred of Ali).

This constant matam has to stop. Lets teach Islam instead of Bohraism . No body benefits watching Moula attending parties for money, like movie actors.

I have been out of India for forty years and out of Deobendi Tabligi ambit for that long. I have helped to establish 4 Masajid infrastructre and have seen very little of worship of Prophet and Sahabas, I consider myself basic Muslim that is Namaz, fast (not now bacause of health) and rememberence of Allah.GM

Getting back to the topic, i (for once) agree with porus:
If you want to save your life, stop wearing clothes that
make you stick out like a sore thumb. Stay home, stay away form public areas
that many Bohris go to, and start shopping in the other markets. The Taliban
probably hate Bohris as much as they do anyone else who doesn't buy their
brand of Islam - TUS and his fat family won't save you from death.

Absolutely. Just have a look at the quote below by Tariq Jameel, the Deobandi hero:porus wrote:On the contrary, they will welcome it.Muslim First wrote:

MAULANA TARIQ JAMEEL SAAB (DAMAT BARKATUHUM ) :-
"Itni Ibadat Karo k Baans ke Lakri Jaisay Bann Jao...
Itnay Rozay Rakho Ke Sookh Kar Kaanta Bann Jaao.......!!!
Aur Itnay Sajday Karo Ke Tumhari Payshaani Par Baray Baray Sajday Ke Nishanaat Naqsh ho Jayen …..!!!
Lekin Agar Kisi Aik SAHABI ka Bughz(Nafrat) Seenay Main Lay Kar Marr Gaye To Seedha Jahannum Main Jaao Ge"
And Sunnis definitely consider Muawiya to be a 'Sahaabi'.
To counter the Shi'ite love for Ahlul bayt, they have made Sahaabis their role-models. Since sahaabis were involved in many shameless acts, they cannot claim they were infallible, so they have covered all their mistakes by making it an obligation of faith to have 'love' for all and sundry. To point out mistakes of Sahaabas is blasphemy. This is their Islam, where speaking the truth is blasphemy!!

What is meant by a Sahabi? Difference of Opinion? Need Verification
What is meant by a Sahabi? Is there a difference among Ulema as far as who is considered a Sahabi? This is what I read somewhere what is listed below please verify if correct? and list any other relavent opinions amongst the Ulema.
================================================== ===================
(1) The definition of Imam Al-Bukhary : Bukhary defined the Sahaby (single of Sahaba) as the one who was in the company of the prophet Muhammed or just SEEN him. Ibn Hanbal who also has a book of his own collecting more Hadiths than Bukhary accepted this definition and clarified it by saying ; "The Sahaby is anyone who accompanied the Prophet for a year, a month, a day or even an hour or even just seen him."
(2) The definition by Abdullah Ibn Omar Ibn Al-Khattab " anyone who has seen the Prophet Muhammed even for one hour as long as he reached the puberty, and is a known Muslim who understood his religion and accepted it."
(3)The definition of Al-Tabaey Saeed Ibn Al-Musayeb; "Only those who accompanied the Prophet Muhammed for a year or two and fought with him in a battle or two should be considered Sahaba" This is a definition accepted and encouraged by people like Imam Al-Ghazali

Let us not resort to these cheap theatrics. I considered you better than profastian and progticide. However, an idol worshipper is an idol worshipper, whether he worships 5 idols, like you do, or 360 idols, like Adam does. Accepting this fact will help you re-evaluate your priorities instead of living in denial like the abde idiots.
This is what the Quran says about the companions of the prophet (saw).
48:29 MUHAMMAD is God’s Apostle; and those who are [truly] with him are firm and unyielding towards all deniers of the truth, [yet] full of mercy towards one another. Thou canst see them bowing down, prostrating themselves [in prayer], seeking favour with God and [His] goodly acceptance: their marks are on their faces, traced by prostration. This is their parable in the Torah as well as their parable in the Gospel: [they are] like a seed that brings forth its shoot, and then He strengthens it, so that it grows stout, and [in the end] stands firm upon its stem, delighting the sowers. [Thus will God cause the believers to grow in strength,] so that through them He might confound the deniers of the truth. [But] unto such of them as may [yet] attain to faith and do righteous deeds, God has promised forgiveness and a reward supreme.
9:100 And as for the first and foremost of those who have forsaken the domain of evil and of those who have sheltered and succoured the Faith, as well as those who follow them in [the way of] righteousness - God is well-pleased with them, and well--pleased are they with Him. And for them has He readied gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time: this is the triumph supreme!
I do expect the standard shia response from you though!!

The problem with you is that you have decided that the above ayats apply to the likes of Muawiyah and, until you were corrected, to Yazid.
Companions of Prophet are those Muslims whose names appear in authentic hadiths, Sunni and Shia, as having been with, and seen and heard, the Prophet personally. It so turns out that some of these early Muslims were clear hypocrites.
What we have seen in history is that these early hypocrites politicized Islam against the efforts of Ahl al-Bayt. To this day, we see the evil effects of Political Islam. as being reported every day throughout the globe. How many Muslims were murdered today by these neo-Salafis? I would not be surprised if you have lost count and do not even bother to read about them. It is no longer 'news'.
Re: Bomb defused in Karachi Hyderi market(Bohri area near Ja
There are a lot of ayahs about 'good" Muslims in general. The above ayahs are about the companions of the prophet (saw). Read them again.Really? Are those ayats about companions of the Prophet or about 'good' Muslims in general?
48:29 MUHAMMAD is God’s Apostle; and those who are [truly] with him are firm and unyielding towards all deniers of the truth...
It is specifically talking about those who were with the prophet (saw) and not about 'good' muslims in general.
9:100 And as for the first and foremost of those who have forsaken the domain of evil and of those who have sheltered and succoured the Faith,
The first and foremost to accept faith were the sahaba of the prophet (saw).
Hypocrites that have been identifed by the Sunni hadith, I accept, because they do not favor any body nor are they involved in idol worship. Hypocrites identified by idol worshippers cannot be accepted without a real hard look. And we have done that plenty of times over here.Companions of Prophet are those Muslims whose names appear in authentic hadiths, Sunni and Shia, as having been with, and seen and heard, the Prophet personally. It so turns out that some of these early Muslims were clear hypocrites.
Which obviously means that the infallible Ahl al-Bayt failed!!What we have seen in history is that these early hypocrites politicized Islam against the efforts of Ahl al-Bayt. To this day, we see the evil effects of Political Islam. as being reported every day throughout the globe.
Re: Bomb defused in Karachi Hyderi market(Bohri area near Ja
Apparently, we all have this problem of applying ayahs to people they do not apply to. Some of us are open to corrections. Some of us are not!!The problem with you is that you have decided that the above ayats apply to the likes of Muawiyah and, until you were corrected, to Yazid.

Ahlul bayt saved Islam. Ali rejected Abu Sufyan's mischievous offer and saved Muslims from an early blow to civil unity.anajmi wrote:Which obviously means that the infallible Ahl al-Bayt failed!!
When Abu Sufyan saw that Abu Bakr had been installed as the Caliph, he went to Imam Ali (a.s) and said, “You have been deprived of your right by those who do not deserve the post of caliph. If only you assent, I will fill Medina with cavalry and soldiers to unseat the usurpers of the seat of caliphate.”
Ali (a.s), rejected this offer. He wanted Islam to triumph. He did not want personal glory. He wanted Muslim unity. If this is 'failure' in worldly sense, MashAllah, what a failure it is! May Allah give hidayath to every Muslim to 'fail' like this. Islam zindabaad! Naaray Haideri.
Re: Bomb defused in Karachi Hyderi market(Bohri area near Ja
And yet, what have the shias done to Ali (ra)? Against his wishes they glorify him to no ends. Infact, they glorify him more than they glorify Allah (swt). "Naaray Takbeer" anyone??He did not want personal glory.
