I have found this write up on one of Kothar’s website. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb is 97 now. Do you find any great achievement that can be credited to him in such a long life? Except giving birth to 10 children, wasting community’s huge money on acquiring honorary doctorate, meeting worldly leaders and bribing them with costly gifts, doing some activities like renovating old mosques and Zareehs at the expense of the community and amassing wealth and living in luxury. Please observe this propaganda in the light of what they are posting to blacken the image of Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer, an internationally renowned Islamic scholar and crusader of peace and harmony.
Also please note that in entire write up there is no mention of Sayedna Saheb being a religious head of the Dawoodi Bohra Community. In fact there is no mention of Bohras at all. May be because the community is insignificant in numbers or may be this is only for Arab and other world rulers.

Facts about Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (T.U.S.) His Holiness Dai-ul-Mutlaq, Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (T.U.S), was born in Surat , India . On the 20th of Rabi ul Akher 1333 Hijri. Aqa Maula (T.U.S) was married to BooSaheba Amatullah AiSaheba and has seven Shehzadas (Sons) and three Shezadies (Daughters) . All members of this Royal Family reside at Saifee Mahal, Malabar Hill, Bombay.
Aqa Maula (T.U.S.) holds an Honorary Doctorate from the Aligarh University, India , and Al Azhar University , Cairo , Egypt . HUZURALA (T.U.S) has been internationally awarded the Star of Jordan and the Vishaul Nile.
Aqa Maula (T.U.S.) always wears white colour clothes. His (T.U.S) head is always covered with a Chounch ni Topi (especially for namaaz) but HUZURALA (T.U.S) prefers to wear either a Yemeni fehta or a Paagri when travelling. Aqa Maula (T.U.S.) always carries a Marjaan Tasbee, and HUZURALA (T.U.S) likes the Agar Attar best of all. HUZURALA (T.U.S) also likes the fragrance of bhukur. • The repair and renovation of the Masjid Al Jame ul Anwar.
• And the Masjid Al Akmer in Egypt.
• The gold plating of Maulana Ali (S.A)'s Zaree in Najaf.
• The Mukalafat-al-Rasool next to Rasul Hussain, where some of our Imams are buried.
• And the construction of Maulatena Zainab's Zaree in Egypt. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (T.U.S.) who is known as Mansur-ul-Yemen, has turned his special attention to his followers in Yemen.

Their isolation Luke warm attitude towards Deen (Religion) and Aqeedah (Faith) had to be corrected. Nearly 25 days of laborious journeying, proved to be a forerunner for what happened in Yemen thereafter. The construction of the kutba of Syedna Hatim Saheb (R.A.) and the Mosque in Hutaib Mubarak. The unique project for providing water and electricity to the faiz and town, the making of roads to make ziarats accessible to vehicles, were all undertaken by Aqa Maula (T.U.S.)
Among the qualities most admired by our Maula (T.U.S) are truthfulness, loyalty, humility and cleanliness. HUZURALA (T.U.S) loves children and likes to see all mumineen with beards and topi and all muminaat in rida. HUZURALA (T.U.S) does not like to see muminaat with long nails, nail polish and makeup. HUZURALA (T.U.S) also dislikes seeing them wearing a nose stud.

a shining example of the excellent english taught at the "Institute for Higher Learning" located inside the tailoring shop just behind the daras in surat, in the narrow lane bordering the back wall and the municipal dump. these classes are run by raza of Shezaada Aali Waqar Idris Bhaisaheb Palidu-ddin DM. students are prepared here for mounting lame-duck attacks on reformists and also to present an educated, modern face of the kothar to the outside world. some of these students who have passed with 'darajatul khara' degrees in english have gone on to become writers and poets in the english language!

You are right I am 66 now. I only wonder the kind of royal life that our Daiz-Zaman has spend producing 10 children, enjoying good food, cloths, attars, pet animals, hunting and travelling in luxurious ships and using imported cars etc. How can he claim to be a Dai of Hazrat Ali (A.S.)?
What role has he performed as a religious guide? What has he done for the upliftment of his followers?
Where as Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer, without any financial resources is carrying on activities consistently to promote communal harmony and liberal Islam. He should be a pride for the community. No members of filthy rich royal family can match his services so they are trying to blacken his image by mischievous propaganda.

Please someone tell us why the Aqua Moula is always called by the Kotharis as "Shaantina Doot" or "Harbinger of Peace". What has he done to enhance the world peace. Surely he or his hangers on have disturbed a lots of peace, e.g. calling the Islamic Caliphs derogatory names and causing riots; sowing the seeds of discontent and disharmony amongs his own followers or people who marry his followers, refusing to bury his followers according to the Islamic or Bohri Rites and rituals. Perhaps you could give numerous other examples of disturbance of peace

if we were to deconstruct the crap posted by the kothari spin-doctors on the life of the syedna, this is what it ends up as:

1. what he loves to wear
2. what he loves to eat
3. what he loves to drink
4. what are his hobbies
5. how he travels
6. where he travels
7. what building projects he undertook with community's money.
8. what projects he has not been able to undertake and about which he constantly yearns.

in all the above, where are the achievements? is eating, drinking, wearing clothes, travelling, - all at community's expense - an achievement or something to be ashamed of when it is not with your hard earned income, but accomplished by sponging off yr gullible believers?

as for building grand masjids and crowing about it, it was all community's money. what was his personal contribution and how much surplus funds were diverted and siphoned off from each such project? in fact that is his greatest achievement, making fools out of people all over the world and swallowing large sums of money while his followers continue to believe in him and throw more money at him.

if there is an award for the "BIGGEST CONMAN IN THE WORLD", then the syedna should get it hands down!!
