Friends,
I have just recieved this e-mail that I am sharing with you:
Shaikh Taherbhai Lokhandwala is a dominant leader of Bandra Jamat, Mumbai. He is so dominant that without his consent Jamat can do nothing.
He is also in-charge of Qarde-Hasnat which loans money to Dawoodi Bohras against the security of gold ornaments and jewelry.
No legal or formal receipt is given for such security deposits. It is said that he had collected ornaments worth rupees four Crores as security deposit and kept in his house.
Why he did not keep the valuables in the Bank locker?
Now suddenly on 18th June 2007 he claims that his servant has run away to U.P. with all the ornaments. He also says that his son who runs a hardware shop at Hill Road, Bandra, was sent to U.P. but the servant was not traceable.
How is Shaikh Saheb so sure that the servant has run away to U.P. and no where else?
Shaikh Taherbhai Lokhandwala has not lodged any police complaint about this theft as he says that would spoil Aqa Maula's name whom he so dearly loves.
Hundreds of Bohra women now are running from pillar to post to get their ornaments back but they are worried that in the absence of any pucca receipt, how can they recover their ornaments from Lokhandwala?
These women are from lower and middle class families. They are now openly cursing Qarde-Hasanah scheme.
Saifuddin bhai! Be sue that Shaikh Saheb's son would be a proud owner of a huge Shopping Mall in Mumbai very soon with the dua and blessings of Aqa Moula.
Curse of Qarde-Hasanah
Re: Curse of Qarde-Hasanah
Mr. Insaf,
Rather than using the phrase-THEY ARE CURSING QARD-E-HASANA SCHEME- Kindly, use the phrase-THEY ARE CURSING THE SO CALLED SHEIKH.
For the scheme is very very islamic in its very nature.
I agree, the execution is not proper and for that you can't curse the scheme per se.

Re: Curse of Qarde-Hasanah
In Toronto, the fellow incharge of the Qarde Hasanat scheme, one Sk. Naeem Bhujwala, is widely believed to be unemployed. He claims to be running his own workshop, but is always in the masjid/markaz in both places, Mississauga as well as Toronto. No one knows for sure exactly how he earns his income. Yet he recently lavishly celebrated the wedding of his daughter spread over 4-5 days, in the past 2-3 years has been to Haj, Yemen, Kerbala, Dubai for shopping and so on. His wife works but for sure her income is not that great as to be able to afford all this.
He is a hated figure by most bohras there for his autocratic ways, and most claim that his fortunes changed since he was involved in the masjid expansion and this fraudulent qarde hasanah scheme.
Would like Torontonians to shed more light on this ponga shaikh and his activities...
