Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Qiyam
Give up on cliches - man! The islam that you preach, espouse along with the sunni-wahabis is AGAINST humanity and DECENCY!
Where does it say in "YOUR versions of ISLAM" that believers can CO-EXIST with non-believers (Kafirs)?
Salute their Flags?
Have them as friends?
Treat their places of WORSHIP as that of House of Allah?
WHY does the syedena order that bohra mumins should not work for the chinese and the christians infidels?
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Dear Hafeez,
You didn't answer the question:
"where is written that muslims must reside in an islamic state?"
---you made the accusation..please support it.
"Where does it say in "YOUR versions of ISLAM" that believers can CO-EXIST with non-believers"
---It say nothing against it.
Salute their Flags?
---We don't.
Have them as friends?
--It say nothing against it. It is better to have muslims as friends though for your iman.

Treat their places of WORSHIP as that of House of Allah?
---I go to mosque built by muslims. Not sure where you go.
"WHY does the syedena order that bohra mumins should not work for the chinese and the christians infidels?"
---He didn't...he said not for women to work for chinese...I've only told you this three times. Try to remember this time.
Please don't forget to answer the accusation...or we'll have to call you a liar again.
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
My! My! The missing link pretends to be a scholar on charity.
My! My! The less than semi-fertilized (Gud) pretends to be an idiot.... oops he doesn't have to pretend.
My! My! An Ismaili pretending to be a Sardar... oops he doesn't have to pretend.
My! My! the sardar is trying to get behind anajmi (esoterically)
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Dear Bro Qiyam,
Here is the answer that Beavis is going to give, cause all he ever does is copy and paste.
"We do not follow 7th century customs" (and he doesn't know jackshit about them in the first place)
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
"To express an opinion is to be a scholar"
"To profess an admiration is to be a pretender"
Hopefully not from any ahadith. No! Just some more golden quotes from Prof. Anajmi, leading authority on everything God created and a lot more.
Wake up you Ladenite, your paranoia is becoming an embarrassment. Please don't miss the next appointment with the shrink.
Professor sahab, I have decided, rather belatedly, to ignore your posts from now on as it is very evident that you never have and never will make any sensible contribution to any thread. You are one of those cursed ones whom regretably, Allah, Guru, Vishnu, Father or whatever you want to call the Almighty, has willed to remain a pain to all civilised mankind. You can respond with whatever profanities you can muster; it hurts no-one, it simply makes one wonder whether God can be so cruel as to create a specimen like you. I just hope your controllers will de-program you at some point.
To the rest of the posters, I apologise for the length of the previous paragraph - I had to say my bit.
Peace to you all on Jummah!
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Gud,
I don't care if I am a pain for the entire mankind or not, as long as I turned out to be a pain for you, I think my purpose has been achieved.
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Considering the fact that you claim to be a scholar on the contradictions of the interpretations of the quran you have contradicted yourself in your own post and that too in consecutive sentences. I reproduce over here - get ready
""You are one of those cursed ones whom regretably, Allah, Guru, Vishnu, Father or whatever you want to call the Almighty, has willed to remain A PAIN TO ALL civilised mankind. You can respond with whatever profanities you can muster; it HURTS NO-ONE""
If I am a pain to all how can I hurt no one.
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Gora, Nizari
I think you may have won this argument on a split decision but here is something for you to consider. Whilst researching this subject I foung at http://www.islamsa.org.za/library/books ... 4.htm#'Spo the follwing:
Uqbah bin Âmir reported that the messenger of Allâh (Azza wa jall) said: Everything with which a man plays is unlawful except his shooting with arrows, and his training his horse, and his sporting with his wife; and verily these are of the truths. (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawoo,Ibn Majah)
Now I know the Nizaris have a soccer and a cricket team in a lot of places where they live. So unless if they include their wives in the team they are indulging in unlawful activity. Now don't you give me any of this esoteric interpretation stuff! It says clearly in the above hadith; when did you see a true Muslim playing squash or tennis? It is not halaal. So brothers I am beginning to sway towards Muslim First and their Islam rather than your esoteric brand.
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Gursevak ,
you are pretty funny man. i guess Muslim First and Anajmi, the champions of Wahhabism have won you over.
oh well, start growing that long beard, no more technology, and take some camel riding lessons.

Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Butthead, always knew you were one. You need to see Gud's esoteric meaning and you know that the dweller of hell-fire will always remain the dweller of hell-fire, and that includes you.
And you guys say you use aql!!
And I need to take some horse riding lessons as well, do you think your HI is available to coach. I can win a few bucks for him you know.
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
Nizari,
Don't get upset with guru yaar! Don't you detect the sarcasm in his post? I think he is implying that if you take everything literally, save for the odd metaphor that you recognise as such, then all hadithi Muslims are breaking the sharia regarding sports.
By the way, as a sardarji he probably already has a beard and a turban - unless of course post 9/11 he has changed.
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
I was also being sarcastic too
oh well
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
I was been esoteric. Since that is the only thing that you understand. If made clear, it becomes hazy.
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
And did you guys find out about the horse racing lessons that I need??
I have decided to get away from technology and since it is good to keep the prophets traditions alive I think I will sell my car and buy a horse. I can ride it to work and even throw it in a race to make a few bucks. Also a camel would be too tall to put in my living room. A horse would be perfect, and that way I will be keeping the prophet's tradition alive. I would really appreciate if you could connect me to the HI to get a few tips about what kind of horse to buy. He is the HI right so he should have no problem talking to his subjects.
And remember by buying a horse I will be keeping the prophet's tradition alive.
In fact I don't get it, why don't all Ismailis have horses??
Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
BTW did anybody see Prince A. Salamn's horse 'WAr Emblem' Run and win on saturday.
Horse ran on hi own untill the strech run. Then Jokey beat the S***t out of him.
Would prophet SAW would have allowed theis cruelty to a noble animal?
Does HI permit wheeping of his Horses?

Re: Did you know Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) raced horses?
BTW did anyone see the following:
Volume 9, Book 92, Number 436:
Narrated Nafi:
'Abdullah said, "The Prophet arranged for a horse race, and the prepared horses were given less food for a few days before the race to win the race, and were allowed to run from Al-Hafya to Thaniyat-al-Wada', and the unprepared horses were allowed to run between Thaniyat-al-Wada' and the mosque of Bani Zuraiq," 'Abdullah was one of those who participated in the race.

"the prepared horses were given less food for a few days before the race to win the race" - does that not sound cruel? But then again one must not believe every hadith eh MF?
