bro labbaikya-v know that islam is in favour of parhezgari.as rasoolullah said food for one person should suffice for two.but in bohra samaj instead of eating simple food in moderate quantities lavish food is served esp meat and nowadays icecream has becom d kaumi food of our samaj without which hardly any khaana completes.i hope u agree that is true everyone knows.d menu lacks variety and is almost fixed and typical.d thaal members force u to eat d things u dont like or which your doctor has tabooed .

no my dear it is not at all obligatory to attend this jamaat, its your personal choice, and btw u already have a very good reson that u stay far from jamaat so u can easily avoid unnecessary question of other bohras who nudge you for not attending jamaats.

Last year doctors were employed and a lot of publicity with colour photographs was made regarding the "diet food" served in the DB functions. Was it just publicity stunt?
There is no two opinions on the urgency of simplified hygienic food and regular exercise. These things are absent in the DBs on both side of the divide.

Dear Zeba,
Insalubrious food ? The emphasis on quality food and hygiene in the Bohri jamatkhana's given are upto the mark.
you have choice..Sit at home, instead of insulting niyaaz and nehmat of Allah...Dats common-sense, If you are diebetic patient then can take precautions and avoid the particular food items..No one is monitoring you n forcing u to intake on gun-point..ok

Mr. Insaf,
Its been in the practise also..proper emphasis is given on quality food, oil and other stuffs using during jamans.
At the start of ramadan, it was well instructed with the help of video clips as well, that what should be taken during sehri and iftaar...I doubt if any other community is as concern over their ppl's health and food..There may be few flaws in our system that need reforms i accept but there are many positive points as well, which should be welcomed and appreciated.
