Orthodox moving into progressive

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Orthodox moving into progressive

Dear fellows,

I wonder what if an orthodox bohra wants to quit jamaat and willing to join progressive group? Or progressive is a closed group where there is no room for such 'conversion'?

Thanks

I don't think the Progressives have any "ritual" to join - they will welcome you with open arms. But just keep in mind that you have 3 choices right now: Mufaddal bs the Shehzada who claims nass, Syedna Burhanuddin's mazoon who claims nass, and the Progressives. Keep an open mind before you jump anywhere. Good luck.

And the progressives are the ones with a mind most open.

haqniwaat,

awakened asked a simple and direct question about joining the progressives. why are you confusing him with choices he doesnt want? or is it that you are trying to push him towards a particular direction?

awakened, there are no restrictions, no parameters, no testing mechanisms or another misaaq to take if you want to join the reformist group. you will not be asked to fill out voluminous forms asking for details about you, your family, income, house, uncle, aunt and your mohalla. there are no salaams, no money to be paid, no mulla/amil whose backside you have to lick or sajdas to do, no safai chitthi, in short, nothing.

you go in, they welcome you and thats it. as for having an open mind, its because you have already displayed a certain independence of thought, that you came here and enquired. do not be misled by kothari goons and those whose minds are neck deep in kufr and filth.

welcome to the forum!

Awakened

Every one out here is reformist or progressive or like minded some way or the other.

There is no ritual to join them. Just contact Udaipur pune hyderabad mumbai aurangabad malegaon godhra US Australia UK reformist jamaats and thats it.

They will be happy and will welcone you and your family

I think insaf bhai should write an article on "how progressive dawoodi bohra jamaat function" so it will be easy for others to make a choice.
