A new movie by Albert Brooks (a jew). Hope it doesnt stir a controversy. Scrolling down to the bottom, one may like to have a look at the messages on the discussion board of this movie.

Plot Outline : To improve their relations with Muslim countries, The U.S. Government assigns comedian Albert Brooks to find out what makes the Muslim people laugh.

If they really want to improve relations with Muslim countries, all they need to do is stop attacking them and killing Muslims that are living in those countries.

"One of the subtle things I think the movie was trying to say is that the U.S. government really makes no distinction ... between Arab Muslims and South Asian Muslims," Brooks told Reuters in an interview in the Gulf Arab emirate.

American comedy pokes fun at US ignorance of Islam

"I don't expect that big Hollywood studios are in the business of doing anything that would ruffle feathers," Brooks said. "The whole point of this movie is that you want to take away that scary potential shadow that they (Hollywood) think hangs over anything with the word Muslim."

Arab American tackles stereotypes with comedy

``My name is Ahmed Ahmed and I can't fly,'' he says as he starts his stand-up comedy show. ``When I get to the airport, the security woman at the check-in desk asks `Did you pack the bags yourself?' [Ahmed] `Yes.' (Security woman) `You're under arrest'.''
