Technically,
Christians and Jews do not have to convert because you are also followers of the book (scriptures) which we believe in.
But that was Islam in its purest, nascent and infant form. Nowadays the situation is different in different communuties/countries.

Isnt it mentioned in the Quran that you should not cry over anyones death for more than 3 days?
